It doesn't necessarily make Fusion make no sense. It just makes it terrible, because Samus being all happy to see Adam again after apparently growing a spine over the years is not a good thing. Basically Other M is just a terrible mess. To vote for Samus here, you basically have to completely excise it from your personal reality, and I can't quite do that. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

yeah I'm not one of those people who holds any ill will towards Samus
for Other M. I quite enjoyed Other M for what Team Ninja attempted with

I've
never actually played Other M, other than for about an hour. I just saw
that Ridley cutscene tonight for the first time. And yes, its super
super offensive to anyone who likes Samus. Not to mention the dialogue
is laughably bad. Oh well. It still doesn't cancel out Fusion for me. I <3 Fusion. |
but i'd rather see Mario/Mega Man than Mario/Samus. and Snake/Samus doesn't need to happen either. dunno, there's no real controversy there. If MM beats Snake, it's kind
of whatever, I think. You can explain for this particular contest in a
number of ways - bandwagons, of which is everywhere on board 8 right
now, rallies, Draven. He beat Snake soundly in the past, too.
Snake/Samus still gets some talk going when people discuss it, if only
for the Brawl connection and what happened last time. That's more
interesting to me, same with Mario/Samus after what happened this year. --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |

don't think any result we get of Samus vs. Snake with Draven in the
poll will mean anything. GameFAQs will surely side with one of the two
in an attempt to defeat Draven. Who they side with could go either way,
but whether it's Snake or Samus doesn't really mean anything on who

yeah, for sure. It's hardly a definitive match, because Draven, but I'd
be more into it as the 'real' final than MM/Snake. I mean, it's not
even that good of a match probably, because like you said someone will

seems like a pretty boring match, all things considered. There's no
'story' to it. Both of them will have basically sleepwalked their way to

Yeah, I don't think the finals will tell us anything of use. I just want an outcome where Snake wins at this point. His actual margin of victory won't mean anything to me. ...HM, this
is not the contest you want to draw conclusions of for anything in
terms of specific matchups. would Mewtwo beat Sephiroth 1 on 1,
probably not. but he sure as hell put one monster of a show to suggest
otherwise. Snake or Samus, it's in a poll that will have a good 50,000
votes come in from reddit with splits that screw it all up. there is zero conclusive evidence that you're going to get on who would win that matchup prior to this contest and any win here by either one is completely hollow. sorry, there's just no value to what you want there. but there IS value in sticking to your once chosen hero and believing. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. |
