Tifa's performances put Big Daddy, Ness, and Soap all way higher than common sense and other results would indicate. Worst of all is Geno being stupidly close to the fodder-line in 2010 when he's otherwise been a huge failure (and I say that as someone with a SMRPG-related user name); this year, Mega Man got about what Link was projected to on 2010 Geno. Since last contest, Tifa got her most high-profile game appearance since Kingdom Hearts II. Sure, it was only a PSP game, but I'd have to think every little bit helps. Heck, as for the rest of Dissidia 012, Yuna and Gilgamesh both did well. Lightning's the only red flag there. I think characters who got exposure in Dissidia 012 who otherwise don't get much exposure have boosted as a result, or have at least countered any possible deboost. Same idea as Jecht in 2010. --- I just beat Metroid: Other M, and while I loved the game it turned out to be completely not worth thinking over it for years. |

HOW DO YOU RIP OFF OF STARCRAFT??? -I won't defend Other M's writing. I didn't think it was offensively bad, but I also don't think the same about any Metal Gear Solid game. Other M has worse writing than any MGS game. That's quite a feat. -The subtle characterization that Samus got in prior installments of the series was way more compelling than what she got in Other M. If you even want to call that characterization. --- I just beat Metroid: Other M, and while I loved the game it turned out to be completely not worth thinking over it for years. |

Tifa's

Tifa's
had too many impressive performances recently to really be
coincidental. She's certainly fared much better than her fellow FF7

Set up the brackets for as many matches as possible between Tifa Squall Auron Luigi Yoshi Kirby MMX Pikachu Squirtle Mewtwo Charizard Zelda Sora Dante Zero Ryu Bowser Ganondorf and then try to funnel whichever of those you think would be the strongest into Sonic Crono and MM. --- ... as if rights are like muscles - the more you use it, the better it gets. If these were mostly non-SFF matches that would be fine, but I don't know that we'd get a more satisfying result in that format. At best we get accurate stats, but most people that vote don't really care about that or even actively dislike the idea of the contests being predictable. --- SuperNiceDog had a super nice bracket too. |

It is difficult to rally for 48 hours.Before Rivalry Rumble, if you were in the second semifinal match, that's what you would have always had to do if you were the underdog relying on rallies to win. Snake did pretty well back-to-back in 2008 so dunno if it's really that bad for Draven. If Draven can't manage to do it though, that's just a natural weakness of relying on rallies for 80+% of your strength. Nothing unfair about it. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

It's
about what I expected from Red. A shade more on Mega Man, a shade less
on Samus, though that could easily change by the end of the match. I'm
of the opinion that Samus and Mega Man are hurting each other
significantly more than Red is hurting either one of them. Don't think
Samus gets less than 60-40 on Red naturally, for instance. --- Welcome to the League of Downtime. |
