im317 posted... im taking Mega Man to win based on twitter. the official Mega Man twitter account posted a link to the poll last round Nice! The only possible x-factor here is Red will likely be the last Pokemon left, and even though I feel Red would lose in a poll with Pikachu, Mewtwo, Squirtle and Charizard; those that have supported the Pokemon characters may really go nuts to save their last character. Look at the lead Mewtwo has on Sephiroth. Then again, I can't see Mega Man losing to Red after beating Charizard, despite Zero being in the match. Pry going Mega Man > Samus > Red. --- Can I please have the old Gamefaqs back... my account is too old for changes now. |

But I do think that his presence hurts Samus more than it does Mega Man, especially since MM actually has the SSB announcement and a new upcoming game to boost him, and Samus hasn't had a game in a few years. What if there was a rally voting cap? "Hundreds of people voting once good..." Let's take this literally. The idea is that for next contest, the poll would only allow up to 999 votes per option from every top-level domain. For example if the poll was linked on reddit, then everyone from reddit.com could only add 999 votes for Draven, 999 votes for Link, etc. They'd probably circumvent this by using those anonymizing referrer sites or putting instructions to copy-paste the poll link to the browser's address bar, but overall it would still put a limit on how much each individual website could influence the poll. --- Hentai? problem with the site alert is having the same exact color as the

Some sites that would be excluded from the voting cap: - search engines like Google, yes - GameFAQs and affiliates - Facebook and twitter since the website have official social media accounts there which post links to the polls If it's not too much trouble there would also be a blacklist of anonymizing referrer sites such that you can't vote for the polls in the first place if you were linked from those, much like how votes from public proxies and VPNs are automatically suspicious for stuffing. --- Hentai? First
plan ahead, then hit all of the big rally sites before the contest, I'm
talking a few days before, and just bombard them until they do
something. Link proved Draven can lose. Litrally the only reason he lost is because of a freak site outage. --- Booker T, being the technical master that he is, would have reversed that into some kinda pin-Booker T |

just got 107 votes on that last update and that's in a match where we
have a site alert on every page of the site and there might still be a
very small number of rally votes coming in from the rally topic on

Looks
like we'll finish around 97,000 votes today, compared with 122,000 last
round. Would have been around 130,000 last round without downtime. I'd like to note that Mario/Crono II was 133,000 votes. If not for the downtime, our 2 most controversial matches would have ended up with very similar votals. If you get add the missing 90 minutes to Link/Draven and subtract the extra 27 minutes from Mario/Crono, they probably end up at almost identical votals- like within 1000. --- 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2010, 2011 10 championships is not enough. And I really miss results like this. So much power..... one character NOT being rallied this round has almost 23 percent. Seph

I think Squirtle vs. Pikachu 1-on-1 in a vacuum would be debatable. But I imagine this goes like Squall/Vivi where Squirtle gets all the support out of the gate because he beat Cloud last round and Pokefans think he's got the best shot even if Pika would stand a chance straight up. --- "I can set you free, mate." might have a chance to finish 2nd here since he should hopefully get
bandwagoned for beating Cloud last round. We saw Vivi get bandwagoned
