Also Chester will always be last and the worst. Complicated extrapolations don't count. He got sub-1000 votes and finished last in the last place match.

So where does Mega man/Charizard rank in best matches of all time?

Kind of interested on opinions of this actually. It's not even on the radar for me, but like I said, I've just been totally apathetic for a while now, so I'm wondering where everyone else who wasn't like that is on this!

Probably better to ask later and not under 90 minutes from the end though!

For me personally? Probably 3rd-4th, right behind Link/Draven and Magus/Knuckles. But yeah, it's being overshadowed by all the drama of the Mewtwo/Draven match. If MM wins the contest this battle will be remembered more fondly; but his fans will surely remember it anyway because he won despite Zero being in the poll :D

On why the rally threads are being deleted even though it's technically allowed in the contest rules:

I appreciate you wording your response in a non-inflammatory manner. Don't see that all the time when you're moderating!

I cannot speak for the administrators at GameFAQs, but I'd imagine that when they wrote that, they imagined someone talking to their friends about the contest and sharing what they found so cool about it, hence the number "hundreds". Obviously, /r/LeagueOfLegends drives way more traffic than that, and I think they felt it was adversely affecting their contest in a way they didn't anticipate. I wouldn't view it at all as a recanting of that statement, just a clarification on the magnitude they were expecting.

This is, of course, my personal opinion and not that of anyone else's. Did I make any sense there? :P

Does anyone really care? Link needed to lose, and we got some hilarious results (pokemon, vivi beating mario) out of this entire thing.

Allen could have just retired Link. It's not like Link "needed to lose", plus his showing against unhindered Draven proves that no one else can touch him in a straight-up fight. If he really did manipulate things, that's really really slimy.

Of course...we would've missed out on the most insane contest performance of all-time...hell, I'm pretty sure Link ought to be retired for a while regardless of who wins this contest.

And this make Link vs. Draven bonus poll extremely likely IMO.

Yeah, but Allen doesn't want to retire Link or anyone else. I'm convinced that this entire contest was a setup to justify ignoring the results of Poll 4574.

Maybe so, but it would have given the LoL kiddies time to react because they follow our boards very closely. Honestly I'm kinda glad he kept it a secret. And again...we were the ones saying that there should be a site-wide poll. So maybe he just took our suggestion seriously, rather than having planned it all along to screw Draven?

That would involve Bacon trying to be impartial and fair with the results, which is clearly not the case based on both the Draven matches and the Vincent picture. My bracket was made based on the assumption that pic standards from previous years would be upheld, and that cheating would be actively prevented. Now I lose out on a prize because of Bacon's ineptitude.
