So I check the results since I just woke up. 1)Tifa with around 45% on Samus. And man at night she rocks. 2)Vivi is beating Squall? I guess there are rallies for him. --- GameFaqs is NOT the place to go for relationship advice.Nobody here gets any action unless it is their right or left hand.Including me.~Dawn and Dusk~ |
This
isn't an anything performance for Squall because nothing about this
match is legit. He's losing to a guy who's only in first because he's
the independent option and a guy benefiting from a bandwagon because he
beat Mario. Not sure why people are surprised this could happen. This has been a recurring trend throughout this whole contest. Squall isn't immune to SFF or bandwagons. If Mario isn't, why should Squall be? And even so, he's already at 38% on Red who's benefiting from LFF and he's at 43% on a clearly bandwagoned Vivi. And those percentages are only going to go up. Squall would not lose to Vivi if they were both at natural strength, but if people want to believe that's suddenly the case, feel free. Like I said, I'll gladly take the free points from all of you who'd make that pick. Red is lucky Vivi > Mario and Squall > Missingno. I think that's the only results that could allow him to advance. |

Time to cut Dante a break, I think. -The big RBY Pokemon are at near-elite levels at worst even when only casually reddit-rallied. -While there's definitely additional things going on with Vivi here, it's probably safe to say FFIX has boosted so his number on Zidane looks better. -Geolocation indicates that being a day match was probably a terrible, terrible thing for Dante. -Sore Thumb Factor/Sony LFF/non-Pokemon LFF? Probably at least one of the above. He could easily be worth 45% on Squirtle in a fair 1-on-1. An FFIX boost would also indicate we probably got a little lucky on Zidane > Ridley. The former two both did well, which makes sense seeing how the game was their first major source of exposure in years (and yes I know Tifa's in Crisis Core, but I still maintain that Dissidia 012 has been her biggest post-KH2 appearance so far). Vivi is more popular than Squall and that has been reflected in every round this contest as well as relatively through other characters in their respective games. Deal with it. |

must irritate you that he's stayed steady on 33% on all match depriving
you of the rally crutch. The "bandwagon" business is a lot less
believable an excuse. Sci Fi Final Fantasy is dying, it's failed at every point in the contest. |

what's so unbelievable about bandwagons - several characters have
gotten them. Charizard is a good recent example, but Knuckles got a good

got 46% on Squall and ended up being worth ~30% on Link. Neither he nor
Magus have come close to their 2005 projections since and Knuckles

probably wouldn't take Vivi over Squall next contest, but this
definitely isn't the exact same Vivi we've seen in the past years. He's

Kirby 2008 is the best example of a bandwagon I think. Goes from struggling with Big Boss to beating Sonic and Sephiroth. Also, Samus finished the last match better than she finished the first 12 hours, despite losing like 0.3% to that L-block rally partway through the match in the latter half. don't think there is a rally for Vivi. I think people just vote for him
for beating Mario and wanted him to beat Red too. I mean I voted Vivi
for the same reason too. I thought FF fans would abandon Squall to

did Squall weaken, or is this all Vivi (bandwagon+growth)? It's so
weird that Tifa and Vivi are apparently the two strongest Squaresoft
characters at this very moment. :O Predict the following if they happened today: Sephiroth vs. Squall Cloud vs. Tifa Tifa vs. Vivi Assume they are in 3-way matches where the 3rd character doesn't favor either of the first two. --- "Ah, a party!
