but here's the key to all the mysteries of this contest! So... GameFAQs is getting older. And as you get older, in preparation to have children you instinctively become more open to having children, and thus the qualities children have. Namely, being adorable! Commander Keen - SECRET BEAST. In a 1v1 he takes all of Isaac's votes and overperforms against Snake. Isaac was simply a more well-known youngster. Ike loses to GlaDOS and a horse. Slime overperforms on Lara. Prinny overperforms on Cloud. Frog overperforms on Cloud. Lugia overperforms on Cloud. Squirtle overperforms on Cloud. Tifa overperforms on Cloud... INDIRECTLY. FF9 - cutest FF game - overperforms. Aiko, surely a 28th seed. Missile defeats contest winner Sarah Kerrigan. Sandbag defeats Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov... COMBINED. Neku and Catherine combine to demolish Vaas ... THREAT TO YOUR CHILDREN. Touhou wasn't actually stuffed. SB just wanted to deter potential large stuffers by making claims he had caught tiny, hard-to-notice stuffers. Palutena overperforms on a LoL character. Yuna over Chief. Ammy overperforms. Banjo and Tidus almost beat the funniest joke... IN THE WORLD. Recette Lemongrass overperforms. Boko the Chocobo overperforms until Luster stuffs 8 votes for Kratos. Voters almost abandon the Cube for a cuter joke... Claptrap! Star of the contest ... DONKEY KONG, left in the dust by the likes of super-cute Zelda and Charizard. Samus to win the contest. Xuxon posted... it's when i do the math that it seems possible for Mega Man to win. if you take the round 2 matches at face value, Zard's getting under 40% 1v1, maybe as low as 37%. MM only got 63.5% on Zero even when locked in a life and death struggle with WCC for advancement. Even if you assume that Brawl will boost MM and not Zero - quite possible - the most optimistic projection I can think of is MM 70/30ing Zero. If MM is really at 60/40 on Zard 1v1, and MM can 70/30 Zero, then MM can win. Both are pretty questionable assumptions though. I don't think MM can 60/40 Zard - not sure what math you're using for that but I don't agree with it. And I doubt MM can 70/30 Zero. In
more serious news, Samus did 1.2% worse against Tifa than the stats
projected. So it seems she declined slightly more than Tifa, which
makes sense. I still think that Samus would beat Sephiroth and slightly
improve on her 2010 number on Cloud (without winning), since Sephiroth
and Cloud have fallen off a cliff while Tifa has reasons not to fall off
nearly as much - basically amounting to "not a male badass" and "her
most high-profile game appearance since Kingdom Hearts II in Dissidia
012". Speaking of which, the only three Dissidia 012 newbies who appeared in this contest were Tifa, Yuna, and Lightning (IIRC, there might have been someone I missed). The former two both did well, which makes sense seeing how the game was their first major source of exposure in years (and yes I know Tifa's in Crisis Core, but I still maintain that Dissidia 012 has been her biggest post-KH2 appearance so far).
