It's
more of just how much Samus dropped from the start. She was 60/40ing
Tifa at the start of the match and her percentage has totally tanked. Tifa's legit, not saying otherwise. I've believed in Tifa from the start. There's a reason why I pushed for her in 2005 over Vincent! But somewhere Crono and Mega Man are laughing at how much percentage Samus tanked overnight. --- "Hold on a minute! That testimony stinks!" I think it's because Samus got out to such a great start and people started singing her praises too soon. Now she just looks 'normal'. I think Vincent was stronger than Tifa in every previous contest to that. Not hugely stronger, they were probably always pretty close, but still stronger. Denzokuken posted... Not
just the LoL subreddit but everywhere, Threads are getting deleted and
the biggest one did get deleted during the Draven match before the DDOS.
I've noticed myself I can't make threads with a direct poll link
anymore when it wasn't a problem last week, it seems to be getting
caught by a filter and the link removed. It's still ok to make threads about the poll, just not giving a direct link to the poll page in the OP. Forcing people to fish out the site and poll themselves will have a big drop in efficiency. Draven can still win but he's definitely mortal now. |

I have to say, Allen just seems to have an agenda against Link. This
entire contest was obviously just an attempt to make Link lose. First
the poll of the day where he shouted to everyone "Link always wins!".
Then the setup for an expected Link/somebody/Mario finals where Link
would be sabotaged. And then you have the Hyrule Screwjob with the downtime. That was mind-bogglingly unfair. I never though the unfairness of Mario/Crono 2 could be topped, but the downtime was *far* more unfair than even Mario/Crono 2! I mean I too prior to the Draven match was hoping Link would lose, but this agenda is just ridiculous. lightning-02 posted... That would not be parsed at least and I haven't had any threads like it deleted but the LoL subreddit people seem to be more fickle than other subreddits, the mods there have commented negatively towards rally threads the last time and are probably getting increasingly fed up. Also, it's really weird how Tifa is the one FF7 character to retain her strength. This argument would have held weight...before witnessing Sephiroth almost losing to Kirby and Cloud losing to Squirtle. Basically, allowing a Final Fantasy VII character to do well against you in this contest is a really bad sign. I still think that Tifa (and Aeris) hasn't deboosted as much as Cloud/Sephiroth/Vincent/Zack/Barret (yes, I know Barret hasn't been in a contest before, but I think he'd have done better earlier), but still. That being said, I think I actually expected Auron or Tifa to be able to actually make a run at the upset. Midna would have probably beaten Chun-Li prior to this contest anyway. Midna has always been a decent midcarder. Chun-Li is the same chick who got blown out by Bowser and ended up being overrated in the stats due to Bowser's overperformance on Snake, and who failed to break 60% on Yuna. Midna vs. Master Chief, who wins? Also the only other Street Fighter character in the bracket is Ryu, whose only real match involved him getting 68% on a character whose only other outing involved Tifa getting 79% on him. And while said character is a Tales of character and his kind has exceeded expectations for the most part this contest, it was against characters who had reason to drop or be overrated (see: Big Daddy). The only exception was Jade Curtiss doing well against characters from Chrono Trigger and Metal Gear Solid, and characters from those series have generally done well this contest...or maybe not? Me jumping to conclusions on characters: -Mario and co. suffer the biggest deboost due to their franchise being whored out by Nintendo nowadays and due to Nintendo being so inept now. -Samus suffers a mild deboost because her last game was her series' Wind Waker. -Kirby and Donkey Kong boost due to new games -Link and co. boost due to Majora's Mask/Wind Waker nostalgia -Pokemon run wild --- Currently Playing - Super Metroid, MGS4, Brawl, FFVII, Wind Waker, RE4, SOTC |

see Tifa gained quite a bit of percentage over night, and left Block in
the dust. Very weird that Tifa has seemingly held up when everything
else from FFVII has dropped so much. GameFAQs is strange! Feel like this is slightly disappointing for Samus, even then, but I suppose it was a stretch to think she'd hold as strong when Nintendo was so down. --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |
