For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. It'll
be tough for Draven to kill Sephiroth worse than Cloud did in 2008, or
for Snake to beat Cloud worse than L-Block did in 2007. I think the

In
the past, right now would be Cloud's strongest time. Nowadays, we are
getting so few votals that normal Gamefaqs votes are almost drowned out
by rallies at this time, so Cloud's strongest time should be later on.

Same
happened with Sephiroth. 2 days ago in around that time he was losing
to Kirby. Yet he won with more than 2000 votes. Cloud is stronger than
Sephiroth by a lot. Squirtle is stronger by Kirby. But how much? That I

needs to pull away, but the problem is the recent trend of horrible
vote totals. It'll be difficult to increase the lead very much in this

Squirtle's regained the lead by 1. (e: and lost it again) Again, kinda rooting for Cloud here to see Snake/Cloud, and also in the small hope that Pikachu manages to beat Sora and then crushes them both when they split the bad-ass powerhouse vote. Squirtle/Pikachu would simply be too damn easy for Snake, as would Cloud/Sora to a lesser extent. e2: One reason to root for Pikachu? What gimmick does Allen put into the poll to dilute strength? Is a Reddit rally involved? Is there another character in the poll? Is it 12 or 24 hours? Any bandwagon or backlash factors going on? What does /v/ think of the match? Will a DDOS occur and who will it favour? Who do the vote stuffers favour? Too many factors before popularity on this site comes into it. |

Seems Squirtle is getting these rallies to fight the trends, if he can keep it close you'd have to favour him. |

The
saddest thing about FF7 is that not only is it much weaker these days,
it is also pretty much unrallyable. If you attempt to rally for it, your
endeavor usually ends up backfiring. Given the low votals, it's extremely detrimental to their strength. --- Man is not the creature of circumstances. Circumstances are the creatures of man. |
It's
not possible to rally for Cloud. There are four threads from people
here spamming /v/ and /vp/ in order to get people to vote for Squirtle.
One is pretending to rally for Cloud. To of course get people to vote
for Squirtle. ...and it adds up to barely stalling the guy. It's not like this is a 12 hour match or anything, either. --- Welcome to the League of Downtime. |
