Squirtle's getting rallied off the bat, the pictures are even more stacked in his favor than Kirby's were (and that factor becomes more pronounced as a match goes on), and he has no third option to sunder the rally. If Cloud wins this, it'll probably be around the 51% prediction I made.

Squirtle can easily keep surging and get this well out of hand, though.

I'm liking the difference of opinion people think Leon is having on the match!

I think it depends on context. Kirby, for example, I think hurt Snake a lot in Cloud/Snake/Sephiroth/Kirby because so much of the bandwagon was diverted to him. Here, not so much.

That's true. The near 35-35 scenario you had with Kirby and Sephiroth is basically the optimal setup for rallies.

Can't agree.

If this was Big Boss instead of Leon Squirtle's rally powers would be greatly diminished. And Cloud's anti-votes would be split.

With Leon there Squirtle gets near 100% of the Cloud anti-votes. And he would *not* get those anyway if there was a stronger character like Big Boss there.

By the way, people should stop being surprised when Cloud drops the 2nd update. He's done it every year against Link since 2006, and he did it against Snake in 2010. The people voting in the first 5 minutes have figured out that FFVII doesn't always win.

No way to say for sure, but I doubt it. With SFF and Mario overperforming on Cloud he probably would have outdone Sephiroth in the match.
