Why am I hyped for Squirtle Cloud This is stupid and it shouldn't make sense Like I don't care how much Cloud looked bad (im not sure if 68% on Lugia is that bad) and 64% on Frog I don't knowwww Please tell me I shouldn't be hyped and it's obvious Cloud got this |

Cloud
has no chance of losing. I mean c'mon it's Squirtle. Squirtle vs Cloud
Strife...... It just doesn't feel right for an upset. I think it
probably ends Cloud 45% > Squirtle 35% > Leon 20% or something. |
Cloud/Squirtle
wouldn't be a question R1 I don't think, but considering that
Squirtle's probably gonna get a bandwagon and heavily rallied Cloud
could very plausibly lose. Pictures are gonna be pretty one-sided as
well I imagine. I don't expect Cloud to lose (more of a Seph/Kirby affair, probably), but it could easily happen. --- Welcome to the League of Downtime. |
It's
going to take the biggest rally of the contest outside of Draven for
Squirtle to win. We just saw Seph deal with a rally and slap Kirby down.
I just think the strength gap is far to big between Cloud and Squirtle
for an upset. |

The
rally for Kirby was persistent and effective, which is why Kirby did
better with the night vote than the day vote... but it is not on the
level of a Pokerally. I don't think there's an appreciation for just how

I'd have no doubts about Squirtle losing... except Mewtwo killed terrible pic Vincent, and then did almost as well against Sonic/Bowser. except everything from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has looked very good, except Dante, who only looks bad because he got stomped by Squirtle and struggled with Zidane, who only looks bad because he got stomped by Squirtle, in the same round where Vivi beat slightly-gimped Mario. and by god that squirting squirrel turtle is going to have sunglasses in like half the pics minimum. --- ~War~ |

I could see the final three being Sephiroth, Cloud and Samus. Squirtle
should be stronger than Kirby and Leon will likely die off easily

If you're going to argue 7 years ago stuff you can't turn around and go 'And Snake is stronger than Samus' because they faced that year 1v1 and Samus was never threatened. Secondly, back then Sephiroth would have beaten Snake pretty easily. In 2010 Snake beat Sephiroth easily, and both he and Samus got what, 47 or 48% on Cloud 1v1. --- ~War~ |

Do we have to go through this again KH? Snake was a clear step above Samus in 2006. Then he lost easily. They are much, much closer in 2010 based on Cloud than they were going into that 2006 finals. --- ~War~ |

Snake was not a clear step above Samus in 2006. Samus, in fact, maintained her 2004 percentage on Sonic projecting through Snake. Snake was favored not just because he had beaten through the male bracket, but because Samus had laid two massive turds beforehand. Samus was also equal to Sephiroth in 2010. Considering how Snake handled that match calling him anything but a clear step above that year is ignoring the data. --- Welcome to the League of Downtime. |
