also don't think Snake being #2 carries quite the same weight it might
have at the start of the contest. It's not like when Cloud was #2, where
he was a whole tier above even the rest of the NN. The strength gaps in
general seem. More condensed now than they ever were before. Like, what
do people think Snake gets on Sephiroth, who I think we agree is bottom
tier in the NN? Kefka's going to look pretty great here. People are
just looking for that one moment when he doesn't so they can be like 'I

Kefka's
my favorite character in the contest and I don't think he sucks.
Nothing would make me happier than near-elite Kefka. Well, other than
Elite Kefka. But I feel like some people are absurdly over-hyping him and don't want another round of "I knew Kefka sucked!! lol kefka is a troll his matches make no sense" if Good Pictures Kefka fails to have boosted as much as Big Boss has since their respective low points. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

If image 6 was the only image Kefka would overperform sooo much. Seriously that's even better than laughing Kefka IMO. He looks sweet there. Also from the heavy use of sprite Kefka I think any chance GlaDos had is pretty much gone. She should be distant 3rd. AxemRedRanger posted... Seriously, that label is being flung around so much. Most of them have looked horrid but they can't *all* be bottom of the NN. You have Link, Snake, maybe Samus and then the rest. The rest are all likely fairly close together, and if the matches were multi-way lots of things could probably change the results pretty easily. Match CXII: (1) Solid Snake vs. (2) GlaDOS vs. (7) Kefka Previous Round Solid Snake 60.57% Alucard 22.79% Bayonetta 16.64% GlaDOS 44.92% Epona 29.70% Ike 25.39% Kefka 41.93% Altair 29.26% Lara Croft 28.82% Analysis Had this been the sprite round I would have entertained the idea for an upset, but Solid Snake along with Samus and Mega Man have been the only noble nine members to look like noble nine characters over the past two rounds. Snake performed so well last round it looked as if he would be able to defeat Link without the help of a Nintendo character. Of course it is possible Alucard is weaker or Snake got some kind of Playstation SFF. Regardless we will never know if Snake would have been able to defeat Link by himself, even if Link won a few matches ago. Kefka proved his first round performance was no fluke, he has indeed become stronger. Maybe it is because he has better pictures and more people now recognize him in his clown form instead of his sprite. A Kefka sprite against Solid **** would have likely been worse than Snake/Pikachu. I am not sure if I would take this years Kefka over 2010 Pikachu, but I know I would not be alone in thinking of the upset. GlaDOS looked really well last round. While LFF is to blame she is worth more than the doubling Kirby did in 2010. With that said I do not believe she will challenge Kefka for second. At best I can see her keeping close and while it is Kefka and he could randomly decide to screw with us again I think the status quo will remain. People have been looking for the best character to defeat Draven and I think the best opponent would be Solid Snake. He is likely the strongest character remaining, is universally well known and does not suffer from massive anti-votes.
