I have never been more disappointed in a contest result in my life (well, not since Mario/Crono lasted an extra 15 minutes). It's not who won. It's that we got a 22.5 hour poll and that actually affected the outcome.

Actually, this was exactly like Mario/Crono. We all know how the board reacted then.

Link was just so damn impressive though.

He got utterly cheated, but I can't help but feel good for him.

I mean, I have to say it: Link, I love you!

I've rooted for him to lose for yeeeears, but this made me remember how much I loved this guy in my childhood. The icon of my childhood is back.

I don't know if I'd want him to win a next contest (which I doubt we'll have), but man. Link is awesome. And if it took this for me to remember that, so be it.

Link got so close. Shame that the downtime decided the match like it did, just one of those things that puts a big damper on the match. The greatness of the match was carried entirely by Link. Can't even say Draven mattered there.

I don't know if I'm going to vote for or against Draven in the coming rounds. Usually I vote for the character that beats my favorite, but what's the point. Link doesn't need Draven to validate his strength. He just needs to win as he deserves.

We saw this coming, by the way, people.

1. Sonic sucked in every multiway match he's ever had, period.
2. Sonic overlaps hard with Nintendo, and is liable to be hurt by Bowser.
3. Mewtwo is Pokemon, and liable to resist Bowser's influence much more than Sonic.
4. Sonic did badly in 2010, letting Kirby crack 45% on him, only looking okay against Ganondorf due to the picture screwjob, and getting SFFed by Link to look almost as bad as Luigi.

This is the writing on the wall coming to fruition for Sonic.
