Not just because he's strong or because he's won contests, but because the most likely explanation for this performance is that gamers - almost regardless of which corner of the internet they are summoned from - feel something special for this character. going back and forward between Mewtwo and Sonic to take the match to be
honest. My main gripe with your prediction was Bowser tbh, I think he

I mean sure, no pick is better than losing a lot, but someone is bound to get ahead of you regardless unless you get it right. I got Sonic > Mewtwo > Bowser. If Ganondorf is any indicator, villains tend to do lousy under SFF unless it's Sephiroth or Kefka. Sonic characters tend to do poorly under multiways as well when there are more favorable characters as well. And after Charizard almost losing to Zelda, you can't always trust POKEFEAR. That 90 minutes has taken what could have been the greatest match of all time and turned it into one of the worst. Simply because we've now been robbed of the photo finish that this match deserved. Karma Hunter posted... Man the surprisingness of Allen posting here stopped me from thinking of this earlier. I admit to lurking the stats topic all the time whenever I have the chance. It's a great thing. Today in particular has produced an amazing set of them. For the next match, I think Sonic > Mewtwo > Bowser seems pretty good. I think Sonic is going to hurt Bowser a little more than Mewtwo and Pokemon has looked great bar a couple weak shots. I think Sonic is a decent (far from really good, but a possible) anti-Draven character as he does have a large fanbase that'll generate support him over mostly anything. If he doesn't catch some type of rally, if Sephiroth wins his match too I've always wondered how the two stack up to each other nowadays. Really good show for Link. Expected him to get trampled.
