From: TheOneAboveAll | #448 Here's my problem. Allen plainly laid out that he had two options, one of which was unfair to Draven and the other of which was unfair to Link. No win. So basically, he could legitimately decide (with entirely fair logic) to side with reddit or with his own web site. He chose reddit. The only thing that I didn't like is that he admitted that one of his options was biased toward Link, yet he didn't seem to acknowledge that his other option was biased toward Draven. I'm sure that he didn't actually mean it this way, but the wording of his post made it sound like he chose this option with the intention of cutting off Link. He could have just said that he didn't want to extend the poll because it would create more complications, confuse the casual voters, and throw off the rest of the contest schedule, and that would have been a perfectly fine justification instead. --- Hey man, LlamaGuy did encrypt the passwords. don't know why people acting surprised about sonic. He was iconic. But
over the last 10 years he's had garbage game after garbage game with
the odd decent one. He's in no way shape or form strong. If he was he

TheOneAboveAll posted... I just read Allen's piece. It was well-thought-out and logically sound. He isn't screwing anyone. He was stuck with 2 options and took one, then stood up for himself. I appreciate that. I really do. It IS unfair though, if you look at the numbers and the data. Link got screwed. Extending the match is no guarantee that Link will even win by his own admission (and then he hilariously tries to argue that it wouldn't matter anyway 'cause Link wouldn't have won based on his gains/minute), but instead of giving both Link and Draven a fair shake he just called the match over. I don't think anyone would have been too pissed if he just extended the match. Even reddit would have just buckled down and tried to rally again. Usually in rally matches the rallied character prevails at the very end. It's the fact that Allen didn't even give Link a chance to make up his missed votes (which he claims everyone who wanted to vote for him already did anyway... so what's the harm Allen?). If Allen extended the match and Link still lost, obviously some people would be crying about it here but I think most of us reasonable users would have accepted it as a fair result. Just powered through 1149. I'm catching up! From these summaries, sounds like my fears were right. Link continued being a ****ing beast, but ran out of time because of the shutdown and we just moved on. I'm just sorry I couldn't stay awake, but I was literally running on pure joy from Link's massive cuts and that stall-fest brought me back to Earth after 18 hours of following that poll plus the time before that. All right, finally caught up. Really sad I missed that. That was a downright heroic effort by Link. At least with that he pretty much got everything pinned on the downtime. Uniting the board together was also just fantastic! Link, truly crossing all boundaries to bring us together. So, uh, Mewtwo is winning? Switched off him after Charizard got exposed. Thought Sonic was the one getting help too! There will be no end of the contests. There were so much traffic in the previous match that it would be stupid to end them. Can anyone tell me the vote differences? Draven's max lead was 6144. How much did Link bring that down before Draven managed to go up again? And by how much?
