I personally don't think the Draven cheating is as bad as some people seem to believe, but it definitely exists.

It's unfathomable to believe that matches like this and Mario/Vivi have/had no stuffing when Allen apparently found it in inconsequential matches for Touhou characters and Guybrush.

I will apologize to Allen, btw. Lazy was probably too harsh. I honestly think that if he devoted all of his resources to attempting to find the stuffer, he could prove it. Doing so would probably take an extreme amount of time an energy, which may not be fair to expect from him. I do think it's findable and that it can be proven, though, but if this is sophisticated enough I might be wrong.

I do not think Allen is bad at this for not finding the person responsible. I just think that if there is a significant monetary prize in play, all potential resources must be dedicated in order to make sure said prize isn't earned through illegitimate means.

I do apologize if I spoke too strongly, however. I am sorry.

Outright bribery on the official forums, and this is the second straight match where LoL "mysteriously" went down so that all of those people who would normally actually be playing LoL are instead forced to go to the forums and/or Reddit and thereby get directed to the poll. Pretty sure not even Starcraft went that far.

Now I've seen it all. You really think Riot shut down servers to influence votes on a site that is utterly dwarfed by their own playerbase? Why would they do that?

It's the second time the servers went down during one of Draven's matches, and he's only had three of them! That can't be just a coincidence!

That's just it. It was inconsequential characters. If Link were an inconsequential character, there'd be so much stuffing removed that Link would have negative votes.

Too many things being merely coincidental is hard to take. Because of that, I don't know how much Allen can actually do to justify his answers or reasons behind the odd numbers that aren't related to stuffing and are "legit".

It's not that he's incompetent. Maybe the stuffer is just using really really high-tech methods, and Bacon doesn't want to admit that he can't detect them. Hell he might be afraid of legal action if admits foul play but doesn't do anything. I mean, Draven's and Link's numbers completely reversed a couple of hours ago, allegedly due to a Facebook rally there is no evidence of.

We posted the Facebook rallies on here. One was on ZeldaInformer, the other on the official Skyward Sword page.

Touche. I actually missed the comments about this ZeldaInformer page. Only saw the comments about Skyward Sword which was after Link went berserk. Doesn't explain why Draven's votes fell off though.

Servers are up? I just played a few matches. If they went down briefly, that's...pretty much par for the course for online games, they have to bring down servers regularly to fix bugs that arise. But I've been playing on and off all day so it must have been a pretty brief window.

Except that's not possible. And even if it was, Marisa was the third poll option and Guybrush was the second.

Not a cover-up. He's just too lazy to find it because it obviously takes a bit of ingenuity to get around our anti-stuffing measures anyway.

Yeah appealing to an admin is pretty much the most worthless feature on this site. I often appeal to admin very minor no karma loss messages that I get that are completely wrong just to see if if it ever works. It doesn't. Doesn't ever get a response that implies the admin even read the counter-argument. It's always just some very Baconesque sass at the top level followed by a "fair, next"

Granted it's probably rather annoying to deal with these appeals so I can sorta see where he's coming from there, particularly given that 80% of the time I've done it it's been on NKL messages, but still. Should just axe that feature.

I sympathize with you, but you were probably modded for being offensive.

You have to realize that the offensive violation isn't about the poster being wrong, it's about what everyone else thinks. It doesn't matter what you think or if you're right or not, it matters if there's enough bigots or intolerant people out there to get offended by what you say. And if there are, then you are violating the TOS. I actually got modded and upheld earlier today for defending pedophiles and saying they're not inherently bad people.

Personally I think the offensive violation should go, but what are ya gonna do

To me, this is the most humorous thing. Nobody really gives a s*** about Draven winning in any serious sense. He's just a crap character (though better than most of this field for sure) in an enormous game. People see the rally post, vote for him, see that he's winning, laugh and go about their way. Nobody in their right mind would care to stuff for him. But League of Legends itself? Prepare to see 100k votes just for itself in a game contest.
