This is awful. We were looking at an amazing battle, and now all I'm looking at is a loading screen. It took me thirty minutes to get to the last page of this topic, get the new message button to work, and it will probably take longer for this message to post!

Honestly, I'm pretty sure Link is still En Route to win. He doesn't care that the site is down. With his monster cuts, he basically cut the "Votes needed per update" down to a point that he can reach even in the down time.

I'm hoping this is a normal instance of the stie going down and not a DDOS to secure a victory.

GameFAQs would have to be down for a few hours to even have a chance at holding off a Link comeback. If the site was down until at least 6:00 PM or later, I'd probably give Draven a good chance at surviving Link's comeback attempt. I can't see GameFAQs being down for that long.

Actually, the one who benefits the most from this is Draven, since the site being down slows down Link's comeback. So I wouldn't put the blame on Link fans.

On a side note, another Draven rally thread that was in the main page got deleted. It seems the moderator there are doing a great job.

Regarding the future of this poll and Bacon.

I don't know what Link does after things return to normal. I'd like to think he just wins anyway because he's Link. That's the ideal case.

But I have to say, unless whatever is going on here is the most bizarre story I've ever heard, Link is the winner to me. I mean, after this? I don't care if Bacon re-runs the poll and Draven is better prepared, learns from the mistakes of this match, and cruises to a win. I mean, seriously. Look at this.

Rallyless Draven will probably choke it away. He's had some terrible updates this match, now he has no support. That said, if the DDoS lasts for long enough, it might still be enough for a completely unfair Draven victory. But Link might only need a few hours even if he slowed.

That said, the match should be extended, simple as.

Link is 90% assured to comeback if this gets fixed. It just depends on when it gets fixed. The rally threads getting removed is the worst possible thing for Draven.

And yeah this attack, is 100% coming for some LoL dude. They can't rally anymore so they do this. It was the best path to slowing down Link, since they can't roid up Draven. It's sad.

Any Draven win is going to look so bad now. And both a re-run of the match or an extension play in Draven's favor.

I was still having trouble getting the site to load until about 5 minutes ago, so hopefully Link's slow cuts were because others were having the same problems.

OK,if it was indeed a DDoS attack then it means we are dealing here with people that know a thing or two about "hacking" (not like DDoS is hacking or something but you get the point)
Which means they might as well know how to stuff votes
....And if they know how to stuff votes,why would they resort to DDoS attack? this is the good question..but who knows? maybe there were indeed added protection after the Draven/Ryu/X match..or during this match? (somewhere where Draven peaked?)

We just need to wait for Allen to say if it was really DDoS or not...
If it was,and Link somehow lose by a reasonable amount of votes (800? 1000?) this is going to be much bigger outrage than the Crono/Mario match getting extended to let Mario win
