Yeah, a lot of people aren't really respecting how otherworldly Link has been here. Really hard to imagine anyone else could come close to replicating Link's performance here. People
also need to remember that this is the last match with a throwaway 3rd
character. The next matches for Draven will have 2 characters stealing
the gamefaqs vote as opposed to Link taking the majority of it. So basically in this match you have The strongest gamefaqs character with a weak-ish 3rd character and still Link cant get anywhere near Draven. When Sephiroth/Sonic or Snake/Samus are splitting the gamefaqs vote then there is no other outcome but a Draven win |

Great champions arise, but there comes a day when every champ falls. As far as I can remember, Link has only lost twice in the over 10-year history of the Character Battle. I can see the writing on the wall, and it looks like Draven will join the likes of Cloud Strife and L-Block as one of the elite few who could unseat the king. Will Draven go on to claim it all? We'll have to wait and see. Nothing can diminish Link's accomplishments. Winner of CBI, CBIII, the CBIV Tournament of Champions, the CBV Battle Royale. Lost to L-Block in CBVI, but came back with a vengeance to claim two more titles in CBVII and CBVIII. Honestly, if I were Snake, I think I'd rather face Draven next round. Not that I buy Draven really dropping off, but if I did

finals. Seems like it'd be easier to get the motivation back up if it
was for the win. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Expanding
on that, R2 is what slammed the door on this. In theory that's the
match that should have been the most difficult to mobilize on, IMO. You
had two strong characters there, and the goal of "winning the contest"
or "making GameFAQs mad" wasn't really there yet like it is here or

Fun facts: This match is now 3000 votes behind Draven/MMX/Ryu Draven has 7k less votes than he did in that match at this time. Very clear that this is not the same Draven as round 2, not even close. I'll probably look into analyzing the extra votes like I did for the other match to see if we get somewhat realistic numbers here-- I'm thinking we will. --- No problem! sustains two straight "stalls". If he can keep the overnight gains to
around 50 per update instead of 100 he'll have a much better chance once
his day vote hits. Also, decreased votes for Draven indicates the rally is slowing down. If the thread falls off the front page of r/leagueoflegends (no idea how that would work or how long it would take), he should win this easily. |

Votals DID drip a bunch as the match continued - we saw this in the way Draven pulled in something like 100 vote gains late in the match.
