Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated. --- "Rate hike! Rate hike! People really think Snake could take out the hero of time after this? Nah, nobody can beat this Link except Draven. If Link wins, it's just a matter of what happens to him afterward. Link's the one with the awkward trends here. If he falters overnight, Draven could put this out of reach. Inconsistent updates are normal (unless they're totally out of nowhere type updates). Snake could end up having bad luck either way. If Draven wins, the rally (possibly) continues and Snake loses. If Link wins, his aura of vulnerability disappears and he beats Snake regardless of who's in the match with him. I think the added exposure is slightly favoring Draven, as he's gone up
twenty more votes an update for the past two updates. I'm feeling pretty good about Link here. An optimistic expectation from Draven's standpoint is that he's up, what - 6K votes by 8am? Link can definitely turn that around.
