At this point, Draven is slowing down quite a bit. This is a good sign for Link.

It isn't that complicated. Reddit rules say that you can't organize groups to upvote your links and gain karma (they take their imaginary internet points very, very seriously there), so the ones supporting Link that are getting upvotes get removed. The conspiracy was to downvote the Draven ones, which is also illegal under Reddit rules (and some of you got accounts there banned for it), but they wouldn't remove the thread because people are trying to downvote it.

The only way to shut down the league topic is to make a topic here asking to upvote spam the reddit thread. They'll be forced to follow their rules and close it.

yeah I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that Draven will simply run out of votes in a 24 hour format. Link may drop off a bit, but by the end I'm not going to be surprised if he ends up taking the lead

Really can't believe people are giving up on Link already, after how impressive he's been here...

This just has to be people forgetting how pitiful Draven's base strength is, right? I mean how can they possibly say Link is done here?

Virtually anything that curtails the Draven rally will receive in absolute monster level of destruction from Link. Shepard is wholly capable of making cuts on Draven if so.

Draven MUST sustain this rally at full power, for at least 14 or so hours, to win.

And that's exactly what he did in round 2

Whatever happens here, guys, just remember that Draven's victory is still not quite set in stone.

A lot of the Draven voters are people who are really, really fed up with the LAW. If (when?) Link loses this, I think a lot of people will be satisfied and stop caring as much. In addition, a rally's popularity can certainly fluctuate a lot.

Draven will certainly be the favorite. But don't be so quick to "wash your hands of the contest" or whatever. There's still a lot of potential for good times.

Yeah...if this contest has proven anything it's that anything can happen. If Vivi can beat Mario, I can totally see Snake or L-Block beating Draven.

That L-Block rally got truly absurd towards the end. They could absolutely overpower Draven with that if they started sooner.

Especially since League of Legends seems like exactly the kind of game 4chan would hate with a passion.

You know how it's really hard to win against a rallied character once it gets close because they'll rally harder? And how rallies only really show their full potential when someone threatens the lead?

Yeah. We haven't even seen the best of what a Draven rally can do. Even if Link makes it to that point, actually taking the lead will be twice as hard as getting up there in the first place

The dude pulled out 55k votes in 12 hours which means potentially he can get 100k votes in a 24 hour match. At most this website can offer 65k votes for Link, which simply won't be enough.

True, but the rallies never stopped for one update in round 2, through the entire 12 hours from when they started even though draven was tripling both the other entrants.

that's why

I think the biggest problem for Link is that the percentage of votes coming from the rally during the dead hours will be VERY high. The low vote totals and Euro-centric demographic is already bad news for Nintendo characters, but if Draven's intake remains consistent, it'll get ugly.

Oh, Link is going to fail *hard* overnight. People will be jump ship on Link left and right. Only rats will be left aboard the ship.

But again - the level of comeback Link is capable of here is of heretofore unheard of proportions.

He could fall behind by 10,000 votes and still win handily.

Again...Link in the day time will be pulling in monster, monster votes per update. And any sort of significant slowdown from the Draven rally puts this within Link's reach.

So those "50K" numbers for Draven don't work out. Link is absorbing too many votes as compared to the 2nd round.
