Here's
to hoping Lopen is free all day long to give hourly updates on rough
projections of just how small of a percentage of the extra votes
Link/Shep bring in. If Link's percenatge doesn't just obliterate the
prior four rally victims, I am on board for calling shenanigans. Or
maybe I am just too old to imagine a gamer who did not have one of their

So Crono will approach 47% and improve on his 2005 performance against Mario, in a 12 hour day match. ...good result...for Crono...says...stats topic regular? AxemRedRanger posted... Lopen argued that Draven was both massively rallied and massively stuffed. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but my recollection is that for a sustained rally on a community board with, as I have seen a few places, hundreds of thousands of members and lurkers, there should have been some massive spikes in there somewhere. Like, thousands of votes on a five minute stretch. It is statistically improbable that we could have such a consistent rally over the course of hours without some massive, massive spikes. --- 243 character battle royale? My head hurts. If
Draven's rally is constantly highly visible to a community that
consistently has thousands of people online and hundreds of thousands of
people total (as it was and will be), I probably would not expect major
spikes. Once you get to numbers that high with that level of exposure,
I'd guess there would indeed be a fairly high level of consistency in

always find it weird how rally threads have a ton of "thanks, voting
for the other guy!" posts compared to the actual poll. I don't think the
rallying is coming from Reddit at all, or it would look similar to what
4chan's stuff with L-Block and Vivi looks like. It has to be coming from within LoL the game, or some unbelievably perfect vote-stuffing. I can't believe I actually need Link to save our contest. And I agree with Ulti's analysis, but if there was an in-game rally we would have heard about it. Also, Bacon said that all the traffic came from reddit. I think someone found a perfect way to stuff so bounce IPs from all over the world (except Indonesia, apparently). |
