I think Squirtle will wreck face for the first few hours at least. This doesn't reflect badly on Charizard though. Going up against Zelda in a SFF match will not end well for you. God dammit people, DmC is a GOOD GAME. Bonus Match II: (1) Mario vs. (1) Crono vs. (7) Mega Man X Previous Round Vivi 41.27% Mario 41.09% Ganondorf 17.64% Pikachu 47.07% Crono 40.42% Magus 12.51% Draven 66.52% Mega Man X 19.15% Ryu 14.32% Analysis To the average voter this match makes no sense, if SBAllen wanted to use the three highest percent losers Luigi would have been here instead of Mega Man X so this match is a simple fan service to board 8. Mario should be the strongest out of the three, but his performance against Vivi was pretty bad no matter how you look at it. Is it a combination of massive LFF and rallying or has Mario lost a step, you cannot be so sure, but maybe this match will shed some light on it. In hindsight Crono looking this weak was expected. There was no way he was still has strong as Squall like most of the board had him and Pikachu is not so weak to be unable to capitalize on the LFF. Whether Crono defeats Pikachu in a fair match is debatable, but what is clear is they are at around the same strength which is not good news for Crono. Mega Man X looked the best out of the three characters. His performance against Ryu places him above all the characters outside of the noble nine. There is debate on how much Mega Man X benefitted from counter-rallies relative to Ryu, but considering Mega Man X was doing better against Ryu before the rallies began and taking into account vote trends for Mega Man X at night I doubt the percent was screwed by much. It is possible Mario and Mega Man X could LFF each other and give Crono a chance to not finish in last, but considering Crono was also on the SNES I feel the LFF would be somewhat counter balanced. I guess this board just clouded my judgement (Charizard won Leonhart's character contest while Zelda has next to no popularity on the board), but to be fair the Zelda > Charizard upset just made no sense from a logical standpoint. It's a princess vs. A FREAKING DRAGON. And heck, if my FREAKING DRAGON logic worked for picking Spyro over a little girl, why the heck did it flop for Charizard against a freaking princess who only sporadically does things people give a darn about (seriously, her roles as Tetra and Sheik...and that's it). In hindsight, 2008 was probably her best contest until now, and it will remain her best contest should Zelda somehow choke here. Getting 38% on Mario...yeah. Did Zelda seriously do worse against SAMUS in 2010 than she did against MARIO in 2008? It would at least support my theory that the Zelda characters were all at a low in the 2010 character battle and have boosted since then due to Majora's Mask and Wind Waker gaining in popularity since then (even though Twilight Princess has gradually been dropping). I'm
mildly uncomfortable with this stall/slow comeback. I was really hoping
Zelda could pull into the last hour up 200+ as a safeguard against any

Close match advantage has to go to Charizard, IMO.
