Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated. --- "You are insects railing against the heavens. Your actions will change nothing." - Uhai, Fire Emblem 7 |

September 1, 2013 Crono > Mario --- Congratulations to SuperNiceDog, Guru Winner, who was smart enough to pick your 7 time champion, Link. |
I got Missingno winning in this match btw for expert. This contest has gone out of hands now, don't follow any logic/sense of yours. For all we know Draven might fail to break 15% against Link, or it could be the other side too. Senior B8ers have planned something but one of 'em might be a traitor. |
**** yeah gimme these bracket points I need em to cushion me since ? Block ****ed up on me not that any of that matters since stuff like Draven and Vivi happened but still, it'd be nice if I could keep chillin on the top 50 for a little awhile --- http://i.imgur.com/GhorUQg.jpg ~Masa |

Missingno already down to 12 vote gains. Looking good for Squall... barring the incoming super rallies! --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

DSRKVRTheDealer posted... spooky96 posted...I got Missingno winning in this match btw for expert. Originally: Missingno winning After B8's opinion: Squall winning. I don't regret it, my bracket has been thrown of of the window already. But Missingno winning would bring me back to the leaderboard in expert hopefully. Everyone has Squall winning and after Vivi's performance people obviously would be more inclined towards Squall doing good. While everyone was thinking that, I thought this contest is just a random thing now here anything can win. So....GO MISSINGNO! |
Based on Sephiroth/Missingno, Squall wins with 50.79%. Squall did a little better than Seph that update. --- Congratulations to SuperNiceDog, Guru Winner, who was smart enough to pick your 7 time champion, Link. |
Geo
update: After an almost all red start (something like three countries
were blue, nothing more than that), nations are starting to turn toward
Squall. The UK is the one to watch here. If his percentage keeps rising,
Squall's got this. If not...well, then this is how a lion falls. --- http://i.imgur.com/PL5UKJj.png Bearer of the Mark of Kan. |
And
Missingno still has its back up against the wall. Naturally, it has
already proven that it's much much weaker than Squall. Dynamics have
changed since R2, but it may not be enough. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |
What's the percentage of correct predictions on Mario/Vivi/Ganon? --- http://i.imgur.com/GhorUQg.jpg ~Masa |
At
12:13 AM, Missingno only had a 93 vote lead on Tidus. But at 12:12 AM
today, Missingno already has a 169 vote lead on Squall. If Missingno
doesn't completely collapse until after 3:00 AM, it will be in a good
position to build up a bigger lead than it had on Tidus. --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as SuperNiceDog, Guru Champ! |
Squall winning here basically paves the way for Red to walk away with it. --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |
I'm liking Squall here, actually. This reminds me too much of Missingno/Sephiroth. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
I
think Missingno has the advantage here. The Sephiroth projection only
gives Squall a narrow win that with these night votals, is less than
200. Missingno can rally that much. Plus, no one has a worse early
vote than Seph. --- Congratulations to SuperNiceDog, Guru Winner, who was smart enough to pick your 7 time champion, Link. |

Only a 2 vote gain. --- XBL Gamertag - Tiirshak |
...well that's not good --- Leafs / Raptors / Blue Jays / TFC / Argos / Tottenham We'll get 'em next year. |
Another
very minor gain. I can see it. It's unlikely, but I can see it. If
these teeny tiny gains persist until the end of the power hour... --- http://i.imgur.com/PL5UKJj.png Bearer of the Mark of Kan. |

The
board vote of Missingno over Squall is likely to be more overpowering
than it was against Sephiroth. We're fresh off the heels of a Mario
barnburner where Mario was getting the primary benefit of the rallying
at the end. Squall already stalling Missingno severely bodes well for
the moment. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |

Though
Squall keeps pulling out updates like that. Squall's projection is now
up to 51.51%. Hmm....about 700 votes. Might be hard for Missingno to
