Well as one of the primary dudes who started the It's ****ing MARIO thing back in 2005 when people were arguing Samus I've never used it for that

It's just to shoot down dumb things like Samus > Mario because X-Stats say so and to claim it won't even be close.

This is probably the most memorable result in contest history to me.

Even if Vivi's only winning because of a rally and Ganon leeching Mario, it's still so satisfying to see a non-joke character defeat a Noble Niner like this. Especially considering Vivi's beating "it's ****ing Mario."

As a quick retrospect, when was the first moment when any of you had an inkling that the contest would be...different....this year?

For me it was the off-the-wall voting trends in Alucard > Falcon. It's been completely overshadowed by more important results, but I even said so at the time...that match heralded some very different voting behavior than we'd seen in the past.

I don't really bother with "do something every day" stuff like the Oracle on GameFAQs anymore. Too busy personally, no offense to anyone that can. Just too many matches and not enough time in the day.
