Can you imagine what a justification of a bracket like this would look like pre-contest? "Okay, the League of Legends reddit is massive, so they'll probably rally Draven to the finals but not Teemo, since whoever starts the Draven rally may not give a damn about Teemo. FFVII is going to have a massive dropoff to the point where Vincent loses to Mewtwo. Zack is going to drop his match to Kefka, who will turn out to be a reliable midcarder. Pokémon will have a massive boost, as there will be six Pokémon characters in the final 27. Oh, and the Draven shenanigans will spark interest in rallies across the board. 4chan will probably rally for L-Block, getting him to the third round at least, and Vivi might even topple freaking Mario." --- Harmony is peace. comes out Sora could potentially rise to strongest or second strongest

I
wouldn't want Sora to be that powerful, but he has a better shot of
getting that strong than FF characters in this contest I like a lot.
Tidus, Lightning, Zidane, Vivi, Barret, Yuna, Auron and Rikku are never
going to shoot up enough to be strongest or second strongest. I'm
perfectly fine with Sora becoming stronger than Vincent, Tifa, Crono,
Cloud and Sephiroth though. He's probably stronger than Cecil and Rydia

to add Kefka to the list of ones I'd like to see become
strongest/second strongest. Too many FF characters have been in to keep

Guess
you'll have to pray for some FF HD remakes to boost some characters. If
Square keeps doing what they've been doing then Sora's the only one
likely to get any better in these since people don't seem too fond of

aren't too fond of Sora, either. Kingdom Hearts could completely
overtake FF in popularity and I'd still have serious doubts about Sora

Yeah,
Kingdom Hearts and Sora get their share of hate too. If he keeps
getting games he'll at least retain something though while a couple
years from now or even a decade if the place and contests still exist

don't think KH gets us much hate as Sora. Neither get that much hate
nowadays, especially when compared to 2003-2005, but there's plenty of
people that like KH and think Sora kinda sucks. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

love it if the contests could branch out so we could have characters
who didn't originate in games, but are still in games allowed in. We
could have matches like Mickey Mouse vs Mario, Batman vs Solid Snake,

I have never been so happy to get -18 points in my life. Admittedly, that's partially because this is the first contest to use this scoring system, but Vivi>Mario is one of the best results this contest could have had. Now if only Yuri Lowell had managed to win a match. Edit: And yes I know it isn't over yet, but I have faith in Vivi --- This is my signature. |

It's
kinda impossible to know where the extra votes are going since who
knows how Vivi vs Mario goes with no outside interference-- and they
haven't really been consistently high enough in magnitude for it to feel
like stuffing anyway. This match is going to end up in a range that is
acceptable enough for straight rallied votes. This is completely acceptable as just rallying on all fronts. Is there foul play? Possibly. But you could just as easily accuse Mario of stuffing with the evidence we have, which is very little either way. Ganon not rolling over and dying is half the problem here. I was expecting Mario to get like 75% on him at least. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

Zelda
leeched a much stronger Mario to the level of MMX in 2008. This match
just proves LoZ > Mario in the leeching hierarchy assuming the
rallying has been equal on both sides today. |
