Mario really isn't looking bad relative to Ganon which does not offer the indication that he has fallen off. This is just crazy rallies and Stand Out Factor. We've always assumed Mario and Samus are relatively equal indirectly. Assuming a constant Ganondorf, this performance means Mario would beat Samus with almost 55% before SFF. on cn's 2010 stats this would still put Vivi below Link, Cloud, and

I mean it would suck that Mario loses so early, with another stupid LFF situation...but never did it ever occur to me that GANON could leech Mario enough that he loses to Vivi - especially when Ganon is getting completely crushed to boot! Vivi
is also long overdue to take advantage of a fanbase split. If it hadn't
been for Tidus leeching him in 2007 he would have beaten Pikachu and
then been the one to beat Dante and Leon for first in the next match. We
could have seen Vivi in the contest quarterfinals and possibly semifinals that year. Vivi is doing better now on Mario than L-Block was on Auron at this time yesterday assuming similar rally momentum. |
I don't see how Vivi can lose now? He's not slowing down at all. |

Vivi
can easily lose if the rally just... runs out of gas. Mario can easily

Even
on updates that get less than 300 votes, Vivi manages to extend his
lead. Like, matches that don't even get rallied have managed to have
300+ vote updates around this time. Kind of hard to pin it all on the rallies at this point --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |
I voted Ganon without looking at the results and I feel horrible. Woulda totally voted for Vivi if I had known. --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. -CJayC |
I'd
estimate L-Block/Auron being a 37/40 kind of match would interference
and it the numbers were similar up until now. Unless something really
weird has happened it probably means this is a 43/40 kind of match for
Mario so even if the rally stops Vivi isn't that much behind him on raw
strength. |
