They've also probably realized that there is a small enclave (us) that will yell about it almost every time, and the added dimension of trolling us undoubtedly armors their efforts. This contest truly is the greatest contest.

If nothing else, it adds an incredible new element of prediction skill to future contests (especially if they're multiway). You now have to evaluate every prior match and attempt to determine whether the general feel/tenor of the contest would result in a rally or zaniness in the match you're currently trying to predict. And then you have to do that for the next match while taking the same care and consideration for the previous match you just predicted. And again and again and again. It's mind-numbingly difficult but I don't think it's impossible. At the same time, I'm not sure how fun it'll be.

Yeah, it's Mario's fault that Ganondorf is there to leech him hard.

Though it's weird that Mario can't crush Ganondorf that hard. The Dorf has always been utterly crushed by LFF/SFF. Luigi beat him handily in 07 (though that was Pig Dorf), and of course there's Link crushing the Dorf harder than CATS.

Also, I find it hilarious that now most of you are suddenly in favor of rallies now that it's for a character you like!

Remember that the vote swing is much less than the total number of extra votes, because a lot of them are going to the other character. Our contests can live and thrive with rallies of this size. People are really overestimating how much the rallies and leeching is hurting Mario here, and this is coming from someone who dislikes both elements. This is Vivi. Middle of the road midcarder at best based on contest history. Against - all together, now - freaking MARIO. He should be able to handle people of twice this strength with a weak leech on the totem pole like Ganondorf. Samus has!

Us having no good read on Mario since 2005 is coming back to bite us.
