Ganondorf's going to go up in percentage barring a lot more rallying- early Nintendo voters know to fall in line and support Mario. Even Square knows how to do it, and Nintendo's always been way better than Square at identifying the character who needs the votes.

Yup, nothing interesting about all this.

Well, yeah, it's not interesting.

But in a really hollow and bitter way I find this absolutely hilarious. I mean, this, beyond everything else, might be the best way to summarize what happened to this contest. It's just too fitting.

I also don't buy that Vivi can actually win so it's just a sideshow in my mind.

Might I also remind everyone that this is an SFF match.

As far as overlap goes, Mario and Ganondorf share a pretty significant fanbase. I'm sure there are few who love Mario/hate Zelda or visa versa, but not many.

Vivi is still impressing here, and I'm sure the rally is contributing somewhat, but before anyone goes nuts with x-stats stuff (lol x-stats) or blames 4chan/reddit or whatnot keep in mind that this rally is essentially letting Vivi get 40% on slightly-boosted Mario, not 49.5% on Mario. That's a huge difference.

Though the rally is accounting for something; 42.5% on Kirby is impressive, but not nearly as impressive as 40% on Mario/Ganon.

Alternatively, Vivi could somehow be experiencing something like an old square boost, similar to what Kefka and the Crono Trigger team is experiencing. Who knows.

Not sure how you come to this conclusion! Squall won't get rallies, or be in that match!. Red probably would, though, and could end up winning.
