Karma Hunter posted... Yeah, judging from that reddit thread and the constant threads going up on /v/ to a lesser extent it's pretty conclusive Auron would have won without outside interference. No such thing as a rallyless GameFAQs Contest, though, so you should keep that in mind for the future! Samus will be beating L-Block by more though. It's not like L-Block's gonna get the same percentage no matter what. Wasn't that theory disproven years ago? --- "What's the matter with bootblacking? We both like it very much!" This is Yesmar. |
Knew
something was up when I saw how far ahead L Block had gotten. So lame,
but oh well. The final is probably going to have nothing worth caring
about or voting for at this rate anyways. --- http://myanimelist.net/animelist/swordz9 |

Lol Yeah, that's a bad sign for Draven being a pure rally...how many comments did the Draven thread get though? And did it have anything like an image click through tracker like n00b posted earlier? --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |
L-Block
doesn't get the same percentage from round to round, but even in years
like 2008 it has been resistant to losing percentage when going up
against stronger competition. L-Block and Ryu both had around 31.5% of
the vote in R1 2008. But when Meta Knight and The Dog were replaced with
Crono and Amaterasu, L-Block only fell to a touch below 28% while Ryu
collapsed all the way to less than 24%. Samus may not be capable of destroying Tifa to the tune to ensure victory against L-Block, especially considering that it's going to be getting almost the exact same percentage of any rallied votes again due to voter priming. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |

I can't tell, is that a good or a bad picture for Yuna? http://img.gamefaqs.net/images/cbnine/battle/5245.jpg |
why can't I shake the feeling that Dragonborn's gonna overperform with "FUS RO DAH" as his quote |
Dragonborn's
going up against a textbook FF fanbase split. It's obviously going to
overperform for a number of reasons. It's just how much you think that
is. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |
That
FF split is going to be exceptionally nasty with FF7 flopping every
match in round 2 except for Barret. If the 4chan reddit decides to back
Dragonbron here like L-Block, we might be in for a shocker. |
hylianknight3 posted... I can't tell, is that a good or a bad picture for Yuna? It's a fine picture of Yuna. Won't really matter though. What matters is how hard Tifa SFFs her because Yuna beats Dragonborn straight up otherwise and probably pretty easily. --- "The great GF...Bahamut." "...GF? I...? Using my powers...It is you humans...I fear..." |
Dragonborn
would still get fodderized normally, because it is fodder. Beating even
a weakened Tifa in a night match would require almost all of its votes
to be rallied and/or stuffed. I'm not willing to give that a realistic
chance. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |
hylianknight3 posted... I can't tell, is that a good or a bad picture for Yuna? I'd say all three characters look below average - those aren't classic looks for Yuna or Tifa, and Dragonborn just looks bad all the time it seems. Though I don't expect the pics to have an impact on this match. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |
1337gamerpr0 posted... why can't I shake the feeling that Dragonborn's gonna overperform with "FUS RO DAH" as his quote It being in caps is kind of unfair... :\ The quote definitely stands out compared to other quotes because of the caps. I don't think most quotes draw any attention to them, but that one definitely does. But as others have said, this is all about how much Tifa SFFs Yuna. All other factors are secondary. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Annoyingly
to me it seems pretty obvious at this point Snake would have manhandled
that theoretical Link/Snake/Mario match with the help of a reddit rally
<_< that's the real tragedy here imho --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |

TheKoolAidShoto posted... How weak can Dragonborn be In all fairness, there's no way this isn't Nook's strongest year. Villager was confirmed for Smash, and New Leaf is the most talked-about 3DS game that's been released so far. And probably by a decent margin, too. His franchise has been on top of the world lately. EDIT: Also, he stood out like crazy against Dragonborn and Pyramid Head in the match pic. That was bound to help. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

Fun
Fact: If you created your expert bracket based on the spread betting
contest percents (going no pick for tied percents) you would have 573
points and be in third. --- BOP Results: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/CB9%20BOP.xls Points: 101/135 Today's Picks: Samus and Auron |

I noticed this it seems to have worked less well in round 2 though, because I noticed had I done the first 24 matches (that I missed) according to them I would've been in first outright :lol |
Also if Dragonborn finishes ahead of Yuna, I assume everyone's going to blame me for it Don't blame me for loving Yuna I can't help it --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |

This
L Block rally has got pretty scary now. Luckily it's Samus next round
and not someone like Crono or Sonic or L Block would of been going all
the way to the final again. |
I'm still confident Dragonborn can do something in this match. I'm waiting to be made a fool of. --- XBL Gamertag - Tiirshak |
Here we go >_> Dragonborn gonna go for win.. If he loses it's because it's a night match. --- nt |
This
could be a learning experience if people are really dedicated to try
and downvote Draven threads considering how long it took L-block here to
smash Auron. |
People shouldn't feel secure at all in Samus for next round. The numbers don't back that up. I understand psychological barriers, but there are still people who think Link is going to win his next match so yeah. --- http://i.imgur.com/xiKRQ2F.gif Proud to share the same sig as Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |
