Assuming Ezio > Altair, Auron is still looking fine here, just that this L-Block's performance is totally out of the blue. If L-Block wins here, let's hope it gets enough momentum to make it past Samus and Mario. Everybody in this board supports L-Block. As long as it is a thing of the past. But if it starts getting upsets, people start hating him again, from what I'm seeing in this thread. |

Draven winning might end these stupid contests once and for all. I honestly think this will be the last Character battle. Yeah,
not sure why anyone thinks Draven winning discourages Bacon from
contests. Link loses and he has a bunch of outside traffic coming to the
site (which arguments aside, unless he's just lying to us, he at least
believes.) Weigh that against Board 8's dissatisfaction, which isn't even united very well, and I think it's a pretty easy win for him! Between
Draven and L-Block, I think L-Block is the lesser of the 2 evils right
now. Draven winning would upset most of this site because he was really
bad turbofodder using just his natural strength from the GameFAQs
voters. While L-Block was already a low midcarder in its first match

Yeah, if Draven wins one time it'll be a win for Bacon, but if LoL stuff gets rallied every single contest, it will drive down overall interest in the contests and get people to leave the site or just come less often, which is probably more likely. Even if say 50,000 people visit the site on the day of a Draven match, that's only 50,000 seconds worth of traffic. Even one person leaving, would drop the total traffic time down by way more than that.* *Obviously, site view numbers have to be weighted. 5 people visiting the site for 1 hour is obviously better than 1 person visiting the site for 5 hours, and so forth, but the point stands that a bunch of split second clicks can be outweighed by fewer people cutting back their site visit times greatly. --- "What's the matter with bootblacking? still don't know if I seriously buy claims that Draven/LoL/Outside
rally domination will actually drive a noticeable number of people from
the site. It might kill interest pretty bad on Board 8, but this is the only place I actually could believe people leaving the site over this, and I doubt it'd be that many. At worst, I expect we just stop caring all that much and this place just becomes more like the off-season in spite of matches. I mean, any time I see the contest mentioned on any other board, which is already hardly ever, it's almost always whining about Link/FF always winning, whether it be factually correct or not. Not sure replacing the dominant force would change the minds of people who believe that. In fact, I'm not even sure how long the domination would need to be for them to realize Link/FF had been overthrown unless it was made super obvious like having 10+ LoL characters in, all with crazy rallies! --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? Meaning we could have random starcraft/Dota2/LoL or whatever random characters rallying themselves to victory in meaningless poll.. The major factor of these contests is the predictions brackets discussions/strength of individuals etc... You have 1 guy who comes in and just ralliess 100k votes per round then it kind of throws everything out of the window...therefore it will force Allen to think about a different metho or stop these character battles all together. Now game battles is fine. or something unique and different like a best Song or something. And if Allen wants Character battles to mean something in the future, he'd allow fictional characters.
