Too much focus on Chris/human characters...

Yeah, I kept trying to watch that show for far too long, for most of the first season, and it was really never any good. Chris was an unbearable spotlight stealer, and the other human characters were pretty pointless distractions as well, other than Robotnik.

I did find this fan theory that Chris ultimately grows up to become Dr. Robotnik, based on things like their similar red clothing, red hair, mechanical skills, and incredibly strong feelings about Sonic, as well as the idea that Chris's perceived loneliness could lead him to build robots to keep him company. It's probably the most interesting Sonic X related thing I can thing of:

Easy match to call now but it wasn't so easy at the start of the contest. The current -16s (116 points) get wiped out. SuorGenoveffa is now 4 points ahead of everyone else. The prediction percentage in the top tiers is about 40% and this drops off into the 10s at the mid tiers.

16 people fell off the Top 49. JaySolano, JordockX, mrdean55, Pondos, th3l3fty, Ambertwo, Board8_BOP, Cipher_Miror_B, DGKMO, Doooooooooougie, Gooper_Blooper, iGenesis, Kumatora, LinkMarioSamus, Link_Fanboy and Luis_Sera89 did not have Blue winning.

8 people got it wrong and survived. Former second place ChenKenichiFan, former third place Flock_Masta_P, EdBellis, Astro1446, Djungelurban, Xcarvenger, Karma_Hunter and POOTERSS also did not have Blue winning.

How comparable are Frog and Knuckles? Cloud fails to get near doubling Frog yet Saumus can almost triple Knuckles...... Would Frog crush Knuckles or is Cloud just hopeless this year?

This is ZSS tripling Knuckles. Even if you think Knuckles is weak now, that's still pretty darn strong. I'd be willing to take Samus as our #2 indirectly after this (she still loses a heads-up match to Mario though).

Knuckles is barely getting more on Catherine than Frog got on Lugia right now. Not saying Samus isn't beasting it, but this reflects Knuckles being vulnerable to Nintendo SFF and weak now (Cecil/Knux 2010 suddenly makes a lot more sense) more than anything else.

Either Samus avoided an Other M deboost, Knuckles is fodder now, or Samus is somehow SFFing a non-Nintendo character.

Though on that last point, I kinda feel as if Samus's "inability" to SFF has been talked about too much. Let's look at the cases:

-2003: Isaac isn't in Smash Bros. (at least he wasn't yet!)
-2005: Samus gets a little SFF on Ganondorf, likely due to SSB influence.
-2006: Samus fails to SFF Nidoran F, but we'll excuse her because Pokemon has generally proved resistant to Nintendo SFF. Samus fails to SFF Zelda, but Zelda was overperforming on Twilight Princess hype.
-2007: Did Samus get any SFF on Midna? Wouldn't really make sense for her to do it to Midna or Yoshi, since neither of those characters are reliant on Smash Bros. for strength. Unlike...
-2008: ...Ganondorf, and...
-2010: ...Zelda.

Though in this case Samus SFFing Knuckles still doesn't make sense, if she only SFFs characters who draw a significant amount of strength from Smash Bros.

Samus's one saving grace is that Knuckles is probably leeching her slightly, but tripling a Knuckles that's going 50/50 with Catherine right now isn't anything Mario couldn't do.

LMS, Link SFF smashed Sonic into the ground. It makes perfect sense for Samus to SFF Knuckles.

NOW of all times, when Metroid is dead and Mario is Nintendo's #1 franchise? Of all the times for Samus to be stronger than Mario indirectly.

Then again, it's not like Nintendo has released much in the way of big games since 2010 or even 2008. And it's not like Samus is getting the Mega Man treatment now - Nintendo is doing everything short of actually announcing a new game to make it seem like her series is still viewed as a key franchise for the company, and that one problem can be forgiven seeing how it's not like a new Mario or Zelda game has been announced either.

Knuckles struggling to put up a good number on Celes despite Seifer being in the poll and Celes literally being in nothing that should have benefited her (like Dissidia) should've been a warning flag about him last round.

ZSS has already made sporadic appearances since Samus/Tifa and it hasn't affected Samus, now that SSBB has been actually released. This is just SFF coupled with a decent performance on Catherine. It's nothing that Mario couldn't do - heck, I'd call his thrashing of Duke much more impressive.
