That's why Crono/Pikachu/Magus should be even more hyped! I mean, what else do we have? At least, that's how I've looked at it since then, but admittedly this was going to be my most hyped match even if X and Ryu beat Draven. Cloud/Snake
was shaping up to be the contest final after Draven went nuts, but then
after Cloud went and laid an egg this round, that's looking to be

If Pikachu somehow made it past Sora despite *Blue* being in the match (I'm assuming he makes it past Drake), then Pikachu would definitely be a threat to Snake's ability to beat Cloud. Because that would be one roided to the gills Pikachu. The rat could very well split Cloud's anti-votes with Snake bad enough to let Cloud eek out a win in a 24 hour match. The rat could also split some of Snake's Nintendo support - which would be a small amount, but with Pikachu there the Cloud/Snake match could be close enough that even a small thing makes the difference. So I just saw last night's results. 8 years ago, I had a dream. That Crono could beat Sephiroth. Now..... Samus got 70% on Frog. Mario got 59% on Samus. Mario got 54% on Crono. Cloud got 65% on Frog. Forget Sephiroth. Cloud, it's on! Ah, if only there weren't a Snake in the way between Crono and contest glory! Can we replace Samus with Snake? For 8 hours from now: Do CT voters know how to fall in line like Nintendo voters? They know how to rally like Ninty characters, and they care enough to rally in close matches, so I hope the answer is yes. Unlike the FFVII fanbase which has completed failed in this respect. As for SFF power, remember Crono got 79% on Kefka in 2003. Magus was a lot stronger than Kefka back then- Magus beat Ganondorf while Kefka barely beat Pac-Man. As late as 2005, Magus was extrapolated to around 40% on Crono through Knuckles, Squall, and Vincent. Now, Magus is probably weaker than Kefka, Crono should have more SFF power against someone from his own game, and it will be a 3 way that everyone knows is Crono vs. Pikachu in reality. Then00bAvenger posted... Why are there 21 people with 399 points. The most popular score is 3 points, which has 485 people. What's amazing about that is that a measly 3 points puts you at almost the 21st percentile!! And it only takes 25 points to be above half the people. By my guess, of the 7415 people that seem to have filled out an Expert bracket, less than 10% are actively still filling it out. Probably more like 5% - 5% of the people have 300 or more points, and I would think you'd need at least that many to be a serious Expert competitor who has filled out each match. Yes that's the strange thing, it would seem all FF7 fans are "casual" types who don't care enough about their characters winning to actually do something about it. The notion of a FF7 rally of any significance is almost comical. (and any FF7 rallies that may occur are probably more due to brackets than fandom) Which makes it even more impressive - FF7 fans don't give much of a crap whether they actually win or not, yet they still "always win"!
