made my account to lurk this board back in 2003 (when it was
members-only for some reason) then it was banned or something and I
created the current one I don't remember much stats discussion of old contests,but I remember the rage about Missingno and L-Block |

If that's your reasoning then I can totally understand and kind of agree with I still want to know why you are so much against the idea of Mewtwo rally against Draven Is it because it won't work and lost cause? (in that case,im willing to waste my time..you don't have to do anything,but why go against it..?) or is it also because Pokemon got so many entries this contest that you are tired even of it's "top tiers"? |

why do people keep going on about pokemon fanbase? The pokemon
following isnt' THAT big on this site. If it was then we would have
garbage pokemon from the 3rd/4th and 5th gens in this contest. The actual hardcore Pokemon fanbase probably makes up for much less than 50% of votes for guys like Charizard. He's an iconic pokemon that even people who don't care about pokemon now will vote for him for nostalgic reasons. There's no way a guy like Dante can compete with characters who can potentially gain votes from a massive potential of users. always talked about Mario Vs. Sonic being a snub, but was it even
eligible? Aren't the Olympics games just party sports games with both
Sonic and Mario characters in them? Saying that they are rivals from
that would be like saying Mario and Peach are rivals because of a Mario

I feel as if RE6 and RE5 have both soured RE4's reputation because RE4's success is what made the series take an action-oriented direction. Same idea with Mass Effect 2. Heck, one could say that RE4 popularized the "linear shooter strewn with quick-time events" that has become a staple of this generation much to the disgust of many. RE6 isn't going to make RE4 stronger. But in all honesty, i don't see how RE4 becomes weaker either. And there isn't a single DMC game remotely close to rE4's strength to compare but but I'm pretty sure peoples opinions on DMC1 and DMC3 hasn't changed because of DmC. Now characters...that's a completely different story. Leon was IN RE6..so if he does bad it's not because RE4 went down. Same with Dante. Though I just think Dante is weaker because he hasn't had any significant games in a long time. The DmC dante is almost a completely different character. It appears Cloud would probably lose a 12 hour match to Squirtle. Who'da thunk it? 24 hour match will save Cloud I think. Also the crono/Pikachu match is even crazier to predict now that Frog and Squirtle both did so well.
