Yeah
the entire reason I wanted discussion on REX is because it's likely the
strongest character that has never been in a contest. But at this point that's probably a Pokemon, argh. And pretty much the entire reason I thought of REX was due to it being the runner-up in Konami's character battle (losing to Big Boss in the finals). --- Currently Playing - Super Metroid, MGS4, Brawl, FFVII, Wind Waker, RE4, SOTC |

Currently
the strongest character yet to make a contest is probably Blastoise,

I'd
take Blastoise over Bulbasaur without thinking, H2H or indirectly.
Blastoise being the #2 after the Zard is absolutely possible (and I'd be
curious to see if any funny water > fire shenanigans happened in a
1v1 between them) Snorlax (and the Eevees) are interesting wildcards. they probably have the most range as far as R/B/Y goes. for the Eevees, specifically: if you ran a favorite pokemon contest on a Pokemon fan site Jolteon could probably win it. but at the same time you can easily play through Red and Blue (not Yellow, though...) and not have any experience with the Eevees. --- Leafs / Raptors / Blue Jays / TFC / Argos / Tottenham We'll get 'em next year. |

Not really seeing why this match would be more relevant for Crono/Pikachu than the current one. Honestly, watching Frog is more informative than anything Lugia/Squirtle do IMO.
