The f***? If people seriously gave you s*** about that post, then they deserve a Draven win. It's pretty clear that you root for the best interests of GameFAQs itself rather than Board 8's, which is completely fine considering how much time you spend obsessed with the site itself (which may be a bit too much, but we'll overlook that for now). It's pretty f***ed up that people would humiliate you just because you support Draven over Link. Hell, it's pretty damn horrible that people would get s*** for supporting any character in a contest. On one hand, it seems like a waste of a bonus match just to see how much Vincent would have sucked even without a pic. Oh screw it Lopen,can you please explain to me where i'm wrong? I tried a different approch-using the average vote totals per hour/total votes at the end of the match,of 3 matches before the round 1 Draven match and three matches after It looks something like this % 19.9411109 11.8134021 8.736291506 6.914625831 5.674412153 5.030959212 5.254407376 6.153786465 6.947329411 7.587808089 8.018367036 7.927499917 Using this,I calculated that according to the three first hours,the match was supposed to get 29345 votes without rally (sounds high today,but it's less than Tharja/Tina/Juliet!) Then I used the vote totals * % per hour (for example,first hour should be 19.94*29345=5851) Now,I used a constant 44-35-21 Jak/Chie/Draven and calculated how many votes each of them was supposed to get without a rally But it just..doesn't work..it looks like there were 10348 rallied votes now,and Draven got 9901 of them (95.6%) I believe the problem lies in the fact I used a constant value...or maybe because I gave Draven 21? but I just don't believe he could get a better % without a rally really |
Lopen posted... Mewtwo would almost certainly beat Vincent even without the pic. That would be the biggest pic vote swing we've ever seen by a lot otherwise. Yes Mewtwo should still win. But Solid S*** costs Snake ~10 points and this pic was even worse than that. So at least Vincent should've boosted to 45+% on Mewtwo, which is still quite the drop from him but at least it would be a real match. As for why Vincent's board vote wasn't ass probably because it was a highly debated match and he was the bracket vote. I'd buy this if it was anything but Vincent and FF7. None of the three main FF7 males has ever had a good board vote to my recollection. Definitely not one against two characters like PW and Mewtwo. Also if this was brackets there would have been *some* trends - instead Vincent flatlined for the entire Power Hour. There was just no resemblance at all between Vincent's trends there and his normal trends. Also the SFFing between Phoenix and Mewtwo doesn't make sense IMO - they should be able to double team Vincent down to hell with their powers combined. If Cloud was next gonna face Phoenix and Meetwo, I don't think anyone would expect him to hold up. He'd collapse laughably before rising. Luster though if he helps can save the contest. I mean look at what Snake just did - LOOK at it!! He just put on a legit Link-slayer performance, one where to could say he could hang real close 1v1 with Link. And where he would deserve to be the favorite with Mario there. And NO ONE GIVES A F***. It's just apathy all around. People's interest in what should be a great remaining contest has crumbled. I hate NoFunFAQs :( Seeing everyone else lose interest has made me lose even more interest, apathy is contagious. But if we can downvote the reddit rallies off before they gain momentum, we have a chance. But I have no faith in people here doing that. Luster however is highly motivated and not-lazy, which means he's our best hope for the return of FunFAQs!! Yippee!! He loves these contests like the rest of us and is one of the few willing to make the effort to make this enjoyable again. Rather than just moodily watch from the sidelines. I care,too But when most of the comments here are "Screw Link go Draven! destroy the LAW!" and "I will vote Draven just to see how salty you guys will be,delicous tears" it kinda discourge me I wouldn't care if the people that said it were reddit invasors or anything...some long-time members here share this opinion It's stupid |
Goku Han Solo - people would overrate DBZ characters so much...and even if they didn't and Goku had excellent strength, Han Solo is too big a hurdle for him. Han Solo's floor is barely lower than Goku's ceiling. Spider-Man - blow out Harry Potter Superman - not sure about this one, both have wide ranges Vegeta Vader - Bauer would be made to look like turbofodder Jack Bauer The Joker - if Spider-Man 3 didn't ruin Venom he'd have a much better shot. Venom was probably a top 20 character before SM3. Now his popularity has waned a lot. Though at no point would he have ever beaten The Joker. Venom God Lincoln - uhh...Lincoln? Fodder-fest. Terminator - easy win Dumbledore Batman - he's Batman Iron-Man ---Round 2--- Han Solo Spider-Man - Spider-Man but it should be close, both would have beastly strength. ??? Vader - easy win for Vader The Joker - Joker in a laugher. Lincoln/God Terminator Batman - Batman wins by more than against Iron-Man ---Round 3--- Vader - Vader wins, but Spidey keeps it competitive Spider-Man The Joker Batman - hmph. An SFF setup. Batman wins via SFF. ---Finals--- Vader Batman - Vader does his best, but Batman is probably the most popular US created fictional character ever. Match XCIII: (25) Altair vs. (4) Lara Croft vs. (7) Kefka Previous Round Altair – 44.43% Ratchet – 32.73% Shulk – 22.85% Lara Croft – 57.55% Slime – 32.46% Yuri Hyuga – 10.00% Kefka – 37.82% Zack Fair – 32.59% Ryu Hayabusa – 29.59% Analysis Sadly my predicted winner was eliminated last round as Kefka surprises the board and outright won a match he was expected to finish last in. Naturally this makes him the favourite to win this match unless he decides to screw with our minds again. Even assuming a total drop from Zack and Hayabusa Kefka is still the favourite to win the match as his performance in 2010 against Bowser was still decent. If 2010 never happened Altair’s performance against Ratchet would have been considered to be terrible, but Ratchet has shown to have some strength. It is a bit hard to imagine Ratchet now having strength, but considering how many games he has to his series it would be weird if he never had any. This does place Altair as a bit weaker than what we saw in 2010, but it was to be expected given that the series has moved past him. Lara Croft is a bit of a wild card. Without her new game she finishes in last, but with it she could potentially win the entire match. I do not think that will be the case, but she could threaten Altair. I am not sure how to rank her performance against Slime. Dragon Quest has historically been shown to be weak, but Slime is iconic and Hero did perform half decent against Aerith, even considering Rinoa was in the poll. I am going to go with Lara Croft for second place, her performance in 2007 was decent and I feel the boost from her new game will be enough to finish above Altair. Lara always chokes though. -Was held under 30% as a 1 seed in 2002 (yes it was against Crono, but still! She also failed to break 70% on some Chop Chop Onion dude and failed to break 60% on Ryo Hazuki). -Did worse against Zelda in 2003 than expected (I guess now it's fine since Zelda is considered to be a near-elite, but meh) -Became the first character to fail to break 20% on Samus in 2004. -...I guess she did better in '06 than expected, but she still suffered a seeding upset to Chun-Li, who isn't very strong. -Almost lost to pre-RE5 Wesker in '07. -Hasn't been in a contest between then and now. I'm still going with Kefka in first here, but I really don't feel good
about it. Lara's performance was very impressive IMO, and I could
certainly see her winning. As for Altair... Well he's almost like Kefka,
in that his matches never make sense either. He crushes fodder, but
folds as soon as he faces actual competition. Do Kefka and Lara count as

have a hard time trusting you there, when you talk about PC gamers in a
match featuring 3 characters who are mostly console oriented. You can
buy AC and TR on PC, but that doesn't mean Lara and Altair are PC
