There's
no proof that really substantiates Ike > Marth. After watching
Phoenix Wright, there's little doubt in my mind that he could have given

Ike
would beat on Epona normally, not terribly concerned about that. Epona
may overperform because of some joke votes (esp w/that quote) and the
format, but that will just help GlaDOS. If she has any strength - this

I took Luigi in my bracket, too, but I'm not very good at analyzing matches before the contest begins. Honestly, despite 'lol fire emblem', the series is going to end up looking pretty good. 40% on The Boss 45% on Phoenix Wright Tharja was always going to be bad and pretty much was but 30% on Aerith is way more than I expected from her Ike remains to be seen, but 51% on Proto Man pretty much validates his good 2010 Lyndis didn't exactly look good by the end, but getting doubled by Rikku is alright even before factoring in that ? Block probably hurt her a lot more than it hurt Rikku. --- ~War~ |

had Luigi in my bracket but wasn't sure about it and after what The
Boss did it was really hard to still have faith in Luigi winning so I

Luigi's
strength is dependent on how many votes you wanna spot him from Ness.
With 60%, he gets 51% in a day match and loses by a bit in a 24 hour
match. With 70% he gets 52% in a day match and should win by a bit in a
24 hour match. With 80% he gets over 53% in a day match and has a close

and Bayo's doing significantly better on Alucard than Magus did. That

I
do think Luigi absorbs most of the Ness votes (80%), but I also think
Luigi's up there in that near elite category of characters these days,

you gotta give Luigi the edge there. I'm not sure if any of the Square
near elites can beat him now. Vincent sure as hell wouldn't, and I

take Luigi to beat Tifa and Auron too. With that pitiful performance,
Vincent is totally out of the question. Squall could pose a good

Luigi
getting 80% of Ness's votes is a very high estimate, one that I would
be very surprised by. Based on the difference between Luigi/Liquid in R1
of '08 and R2 of '08 (when Bowser was introduced), it looks like Bowser
voters would have favored Luigi over Liquid about at a rate of 70/30,
which would line up roughly with the first round match. I wouldn't

If
we get another 1v1 contest, I feel like Vincent is going to end up
burning us. Whether it'll be by Magusing it up or being old Vincent I

He was dropping off in 2005/2006 prior to getting SOTN on XBLA, so now that that's even farther removed, he's probably started dropping again. And assuming an 18 BL ranking for Rydia his performance on her would only put him at 21 on BL. I know some people will argue my Rydia point, but there's only so high you can take her unless you want to make her equal to Cecil. Or make Cecil higher and put Wrex ahead of Garrus. remember, for every near-elite you comfortably take Luigi over you
gotta take Big Boss! 53% is the absolute highest theoretical estimate
you could give for Luigi there, and that's all day match (and no, yo,
Luigi is not going to 60/40 BB with Ness out of the poll because BB
stood out and caused a voter paradigm shift, he didn't even stand out

long way, and MGS in general seem to be performing at their best, for

It's
very possible that a 24 hour 1v1 Big Boss/Luigi match could have played
out in a manner similar to Snake/Bowser, so MGS3 Big Boss v Sprite
Solid Snake could certainly be interesting... but the SFF probably ruins

in third. He probably wouldn't do much better on Morrigan 1v1 than
Sephiroth did, and anti-votes get less powerful the stronger the
