At first I thought that she is supposed to be an improvment missingno
First there was L-Block which is a pure joke (don't start with "it also got Tetris power!" because we know how weak Tetris is)
Then there was missingno,which is also a joke but also Pokemon...
And what is a stronger joke than just pure joke and Pokemon joke? a Zelda joke

But even if Mordin turns out to be strong,her performance in the previous round wasn't good..I would expect more from a Zelda joke character that is not hated like Tingle
But maybe people are just too tired of jokes or Epona is not funny at all

Still..this is not up to stats discussion,this is about "what will the voters prefer" and we need a poll sample

I'm kind of cautious with putting Epona as the winner. Glados could leech away her joke support as hard as Ike can leech away the Nintendo support.

Alucard can only just beat Bayonetta, and Snake IS only getting 60% on these two chumps... wow.

Oh, that match has made me fairly apathetic and down too. But rather than go on about it some more I've just been trying to have some fun in the matches that are unaffected. I definitely haven't been anywhere near the same level of seriousness or focus since the MMX match.

Zooming out, yeah, this is just pretty sad given what Link is about to run into but I'm just trying not to think about it.

Snake could very well have lost his best opportunity to take Link down. Here's hoping against the odds that we get some kind of Link/Snake bonus match!

Remember how Crono/Pikachu/Magus was so important because it could decide the winner of the contest? By deciding whether Sora/Crono would be there to weaken Cloud, or Pikachu/Blue to weaken Snake, and then whether Snake or Cloud would have the best shot at beating LFF'd Link?

I think that was always very tenuous of a contest-deciding match. Rather like people calling Link/Magus the match that would decide SC2K3. Cloud/Crono LFF and Snake/Pokemon LFF are going to be tiny. Like, probably less than 1%. That match isn't deciding anything unless Cloud and Snake start off within 51/49 of each other, and one of them beats Link with Mario while the other doesn't- which is hard considering that we just said they need to be within 51/49 of each other.

Why? Just looking at their R1 and R2 matches, Snake's looks a lot better. Considering that people have seem to finally realized the LAW outside of this board, Link being a little weaker wouldn't surprise me.

Glados: Is probably the weakest in the poll, but is benefiting from a Ninty split and it being a night match.

Ike: His R1 performance looks better with every match. I think I'd take him over the other two in 1 v 1 affairs in a heartbeat, but with overlap and the possibility of weirdness, his fate here is uncertain.

Epona: Still a big question mark. She depends on how well you think 60-40ing Mordin is. If you respect that, she could be good. If you don't...she's not! There's also the question of whether or not she dies with another Nintendo character in the poll. She might...or might not. Big ole' question mark.

Ike wins with 51.54% of the vote!


And that's with Proto Man getting a night match against Snake, and with every MM character rocking the house. Ike basically performed exactly like the stats said he would, and he's shown the ability to hold up Nintendo in the past...and everyone abandoned him. I don't get it. Is everyone here really that scared of HorseFAQs?

It could also be MGSV hype. A little weird considering Big Boss, but Snake stole Big Boss's MGS3 boost so stealing his MGSV hype boost wouldn't be out of order. BB still looks to be 49%+ at worst against Luigi in a 24 hour match.

But I kinda called these two Link+ results beforehand. <_< Snake is worth 45% on Link in 2010 and went up against two overrated opponents so far - Isaac is overrated through Charizard and Alucard is overrated through Link. These results are very, very good, but to me they're proof that Samus wouldn't beat him, not that he's quite up to Link level yet. Have to get an MGSV release during the contest for that probz.
