Well,
I mean, this match is essentially 50/50, almost anything could make a
difference. I don't doubt there was a small rally, there usually is in
close matches. My only point is that Boss is doing this almost 100% on
pure strength and would have comfortably beat Subz in a night or 24 hour

Assuming a constant Bowser, we can extrapolate about how strong HG/SS
release Charizard looks! Sorta. Making a minor 24 hour adjustment and
pushing Sub-Zero up to 43% on Bowser, that would make him worth about
39% on HG/SS release day Charizard. should be valid assuming a constant Bowser and Sub-Zero, at the least.
If you're sore about it making Bowser or Charizard look too weak, then
you're the next in a long line of people getting snakebit about Bowser's
strength. The guy's letting The Boss put up 41% on him in a day match,
after all. Note that this does not make the assumption that Charizard did not jump *again* in strength at the Mario match. Mario/Squall goes about 53/47. That looks right. Squall is
approximately equal to Crono and I've had Mario/Crono pegged at 53/47

I wish Luigi wasn't facing so much SFF because I'm starting to think
he's not only incredibly legit now, but has a chance of getting
dangerously close to Seph... If there wasn't a pink ball or psychic kid

The
'traditional' proportion of Mario to Bowser that I've generally assumed
is that Bowser's worth 37-38% indirectly on Mario in any given year. In some years this ends up making Samus look stronger than Mario. She has a tendency to do that, though, so it's not a dealbreaker. Edit: If you're wondering what that looks like, assuming a constant Sub-Zero and him getting 43.5% in a 24 hour match with Bowser, Mario is worth about 43.25% on Link, right between Snake and Samus. Maybe a significant enough number of those people actually did stick around. That's probably it. The Dravenfen know us as "a bunch of whiny Nintendo/FF fans who can't stand the idea of anything else winning", and obviously they would've seen the plans to rally for Mewtwo, so it would only make sense for them to flock to the one option that was neither Nintendo nor Final Fantasy--Phoenix Wright. If only they knew that most of us would kill for Phoenix to be awesome... I wonder if we can use reverse psychology on them to try to influence the contest the way we want it. Well, one thing's for sure--if they're really still trying to toy with us, GlaDoS > Ike and Epona is probably a near-lock.
