Vincent
just has people wrapped up in fear of FF7 failing, and Sephiroth's
horrible match picture didn't do him any favors. But he's still
recognizable and of course, the name Sephiroth is a world away from

Seph's
match pic is muted and blurry which serves to make the vibrant Morrigan
pop out that much more, but at least it looks just like him. Not a

Morrigan's
match pic is a "most adorable of all time" contender, while her quote
is a lot more sinister. It's a hilarious juxtaposition, and I think it's
really helping her here - lack of TJF be damned. ChenKenichiFan posted... How in the blue f*** is Spyro doing this well. He looked worse than this back in the beginning of contests when he actually had new games and exposure. This mascot factor is so legit. They've all done well! Back in 2002, Spyro was overexposed to an insane degree. But as time has passed, nobody really remembers that - they remember the earlier, more acclaimed titles, as opposed to Enter the Dragonfly and its ilk. Nostalgia's doing good things for him. It's
just that with the votals so low now FFVII has no margin for the kind
of stuff that's been thrown against it for the last 9 years. Remember
Vincent/Bidoof? Probably not? Bidoof hung with Vincent for a full
hour, and ended up getting more than doubled. But with current votals,
if Bidoof gets as many rallied/stuffed/whatever votes as he did in that
hour, Vincent is gonna be way behind, and with precious few votes coming
in later in the day to turn it around. If it's Sephiroth, all it means is the extra votes have to be a bit more powerful. --- Congratulations to SuperNiceDog, Guru Winner, who was smart enough to pick your 7 time champion, Link. |

We've
seen numerous characters with attention-drawing pics that didn't do
that well. Morrigan's not overperforming, I don't think. Dang... Midna's weak! Or maybe voters really are favoring FF7 less and less, I don't know. I don't see why anyone's shocked at Spyro's "good" performance. He got 60% last round. If he was in the teens I would have blamed it on "SFF". Actually, Spyro could conceivably be suffering a bit of SFF, like Crash apparently did on Sephiroth. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those! It could be fun! So... what is a party?"
