put about as much stock into the Layton percentage for Barret as I do
for Vincent's KOS-MOS percentage at this point (which is to say,
throwing in the towel on Mewtwo unless one of you jokers goes all out on

Aside
from Layton probably being stronger, that just doesn't matter so much
anymore for FF7 characters. They just can't stomp fodder but they won't

Assuming
the votals stay elevated that would at least argue for some rally
overspill, unlike Draven's last match... which, considering that we just

to MMX, he's only getting doubled. It's not out of the realm of

is the only one who can beat Draven, and he doesn't really have a
realistic chance. He's the last match Draven will be in where his
primary opponent won't have much of an anchor weighing him down.
Semifinals and finals are way too much. Honestly it would need to be stopped at Link, and stopped at the source - burying the rally topic with a mass downvote effort or something. Okay, okay, no need to worry guys. Draven only got 54.94% on Jak. Last contest, Yoshi got 76.62% on Jak. Link just got 77.07% on Yoshi. So Link's projected to get, like, 88.22% on Draven. Even when you adjust for Link/Yoshi being an SFF match, that's still a huge blowout. ... ...Yes, that's seriously possible to do with X-stats. Projecting through the Draven/Jak/Chie and Link/Raiden/Yoshi matches with Yoshi vs. Jak 2010 actually gives Link being expected to get 88.22% on Draven. And then you use the Draven/X/Ryu match and project through Link vs. X 2010 and it comes out as Draven with 69.93%. (Of course, 1v1 X-stats and multiway X-stats don't really work together, because just using this last match as an example, projecting Mega Man X vs. Ryu based on X's percentage on Draven and Ryu's percentage on Draven gives you X beating Ryu with 60.38% of the vote, whereas X's actual percentage on Ryu in this match was 57.21%. This is a fundamental flaw in the way we calculate multi-way X-stats). --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. You will be missed. |
Man, if Link can still win after this, I will be so happy. If not.......it feels like the final death blow to these contests. Which have already been slowly dying since 2010 when the votals fell off a cliff. Now they've fallen so far that this can happen. It's
funny how Link has become a total underdog, and now all of his fans are
calling an end to the contests. I will enjoy Link's defeat, he has done
nothing but win since I have joined this website. Now you guys will see

stayed on the leaderboard and only dropped 1 rank, best I could hope
for. Though I think my main account is screwed from ever reappearing. Well now that I think about not much will change with the expert challenge, just gotta replace Link with Draven. Though it shatters any hope of Cloud or Snake winning. --- WhiteLens while on the Expert Leaderboard. |

Just within a single match, you take the first-place character's percentage on the second place character and the second-place character's percentage on the third-place character and the first-place character's percentage on the third-place character and you wind up with the first place character being projected to score something other than 50% on itself. And the percentages for that match are especially certain to be messed up because that was the one Touhou match where no votes were removed. --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. Is
it me or are Link fans really boorish to the point, where they feel
that there is a need to hog all the limelight. The moment someone is
perceived as a legitimate threat, they will groan about such threat
being a blight to the contest and how they are planning to boycott it. As if Link winning for the next millennium isn't dooming these tournaments. --- The cycle of life and death continues. We will live. And they will die. |
