know, I wonder how many people in Expert took this. Just using myself
as a reference because I'm at the bottom of the named portion, I don't
think it's reasonable to assume everyone behind me who could pass me on

This division has killed me in the expert, but I'm expecting to stay around in the same spot on the leaderboard. 2nd round will probably kill a lot off people off. "Pokémon is more independent" is pretty much the linchpin of my bracket--namely, that Charizard can make like Blue did and take advantage of a Nintendo split in Round 4. So if that fundamental assumption is wrong...well, okay, it was always a kind of crazy upset, but Charizard did fairly well on Mario in a 1v1 so a rematch with Samus in the poll, the upset has to be possible, right? --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. You will be missed. |

So what is the consensus right now concerning Division 9? I picked the division final to be MM/Zero/Charizard. MM and Charizard are fairly obvious (unless DK pulls off some kind of absurd miracle, which isn't impossible considering that he's Nintendo's Kefka when it comes to predictions), but I'm not as confident about having picked Zero>Rikku. Maybe more confident after Zero made that huge showing in Round 1 but I just don't know anything about FF characters and their strength aside from FFVII and Auron/Squall. I usually just vote right away, but when I know there's a chance of a close match and my vote normally would've gone to the third contestant, I sometimes wait to see if it might be prudent to give it to the one I want to win out of those two. Of course, DK's winning so commandingly here that if I'd waited, I would've just stuck with voting for Falco! But, yes. I'm not normally one to check the results before voting, but did so for Tidus-Missingno because I had a feeling Missingno might need my help and my vote would've otherwise gone to Banjo. --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. MM/Zero/Zard should be the overwhelming favorite for the division final. Not sure who is favored to win that. Zero is out, obviously. If
you consider Charizard's performance on Mario legit (or legit enough to
be replicated by the time he gets back to him) you should have put him
in the finals without so much as a second thought. Mario's 53.5% was a
ridiculously wimpy performance, and the most a Non-Noble allowed from
any outsider that entire contest bar Missingno. Samus will blow that

honestly wouldn't be surprised if this didn't drop, which would
definitely infer that Charizard has retained the bulk of its strength.
May still have lost a touch because this is just such a lopsided picture
