could have easily been our number one wire to wire match by far without

I'm
satisfied with the Travis percentage... if you make the assumption
Travis hasn't dropped. Considering he's still fighting tooth and nail to
come back against Recette, that's not a sure thing. Missingno
is the only Pokemon entrant that's looked bad, right? I think we've
gotta give Pokemon some credit here when their only flub is one of the
biggest wildcards of the contest. Missingno is like half-Pokemon and
half-L-Block, so it's kind of silly to even use its performance to
criticize anyone else from the series. Even Magikarp, when assuming a
slightly boosted Mega Man, is around 2010 Zack level, which is enough to

still don't think barely doubling Sly Cooper is a good performance, but
I guess you can hand wave that one away using "We didn't have high
expectations for Lugia," too. Mewtwo's performance is completely
meaningless as of right now, and so is Red's. Scoring a high percentage

was virtually impossible for Pokemon to flub any match in R1, but
Missingno still did it. I'm not gonna hold it *that* much against the
Pokes because, again, Magikarp impressed. But it's tempered by the fact
that Magikarp is a new entrant. Who knows how well it'd have done in
2010, it could have put a legitimate scare into Mega Man for all we
know. Charizard/Riku/Nier is the first 'real' Pokemon match where they can impress or flub, in my view. Pikachu went up against known quantities as well, but based on that match he's either only slightly above Fox or he's hanging on Link's level. And remember, with Missingno having solidly disqualified himself in terms of natural strength, we're looking at the title of strongest Pokemon entrant defaulting to Charizard, by far. Lugia
isn't Gen 1. Plus, how can you say Lugia wasn't that impressive when
she (he?) outdid our Oracle predictions by over 9%? That's one of the
biggest percentage overperformances of the whole contest so far!
Outdoing our own expectations like that is usually a good sign. If Lugia
