Tidus has almost no chance of winning this. The trends, both legitimate and illegitimate, are against him. A single update could end his lead. He has no real potential for a second comeback if things go bad, either.

But you just gotta believe

Dammit, now I want to see a match where the top two both have enough votes removed so the third character advances.

Clearly this is what happened in Alucard/Falcon/Rydia but Bacon didn't care enough to make sure the REAL WINNER won.

I like Banjo as much as the next guy, but how many setups could he get that he could win, especially as the low seed?

As an 8-11-20 match it could have been something like Chester and Teemo. Would be a shot there. Most 11 seeds would probably beat Banjo though.

Oh no, I do.

but now i've been exposed.

oh god. that would be the NoFunAllowedFAQs way to handle that post.

Well, the 8 seeds being artifically placed would be the open door Banjo if he drew Chester/Zero999.

No, because he would be replacing Reyn and Vercetti in those pairings. He could possibly beat Clementine, but Spyro, Crash, and Wheatley would kill him.

Yeah, but that's quite the seeding jump there, which is why I don't think Banjo could get too many winnable matches with his current nomination support.

Also, Wheatley did look relatively respectable in his loss to Crash. He didn't get blown out like Clementine did.

Also Tidus winning and potentially sabotaging Squall next round will still be worth it. Squall has already proven his worth and he isn't beating Mario anyway.

This is a potentially historic win if Tidus can find a way to hold on.

The only reason for Banjo to be as strong as Crash/Spyro is that his games are generally more fondly looked back on today. However, Banjo isn't the face of a huge mascot franchise in the same way as Crash and Spyro, and his games never sold nearly as much. Considering post-Mario 64 platformers aren't very popular on this site, that's enough.

Banjo is likely terrible fodder, sadly enough. At least Crash and Spyro were Sony mascots that were marketed around like nuts and had loads of games. Banjo only had two games and Nintendo/Rare didn't do as much with him.
