I kind of wish SBAllen didn't have to put both Tidus and Rikku up against two jokes in round 1...and then Auron gets one in round 2. Even with wins, Auron, Tidus, and Yuna are all then forced into matches with other Final Fantasy characters. FFX got a really bad draw this contest.

Black Turtle did a pretty good job.

Tidus is clearly stronger than Alucard (I think), but unfortunately he's not up against Falcon here. Even if he could mount a comeback, he'd need a mighty lead by the time it was over because people will rally or stuff Missingno. if it really gets to that point.

It's not really clear. Alucard/Tidus would be a hotly debated match.

I think holding up to a guy that beat Crono is better than holding up to Captain Falcon.

Granted, Tidus hasn't come back yet... I guess that's just assuming he can. Even if he keeps it as close as it is now, that's pretty good evidence Tidus is pretty decent.

On this vote stuffer - while there's a good chance he's completely full of s***, but lot of people thought the George Romero thing was BS too, and they were wrong.

Also based on this match Tidus is almost Sephiroth level.

Yep, I was feeling pretty bad about this one. I felt pretty good about Squall early on and only waffled between Squall/The Miz once I went all in for Pokemon. Since I was taking Pokemon in just about everything else, it only made sense to take it here as well, but it's not to be. Heck, I'd even argue that the better Pokemon does in R2, the worse Missingno's chances are. Wins by Mewtwo, Pikachu, Squirtle, and Pokemon Trainer Blue will get people even sicker of Missingno/Pokemon in general when it's the glitch's turn against Squall.

i don't think anyone will have that great of expectations for Tidus after this. doubling Banjo isn't exactly a feat of strength.

While that last point isn't so cut-and-dry, I'm honestly surprised that Tidus is even this close to Missingno in the first place. You'd think that Missingno would be one of the best characters to take advantage of Tidus's anti-votes, then again maybe note. Maybe anti-votes are mitigated in this format (helping to give credence to my theory about Master Chief sucking due to his generic character design)?

Missingno's suffering from that sophomore joke backlash (I have no idea how anyone possibly argued with a straight face this thing wasn't a joke, really guys). Tidus is the beneficiary of its anti-votes because he's the best person positioned to take it down today.

In some ways it's a better setup than what Squall will have next round despite him being a lot weaker, since DogFAQs is way outta Banjo's league.

Popular at school, but not as cool as SuperNiceDog, Guru Champ!

Missingno has a crazy spike at the end of the hour to finish it at Missingno +14. This is the problem with Tidus's attempt to comeback so far - you expect some wonky updates, but they seem to be completely one-sided against him despite the fact that he's winning the majority of the updates.

Doesn't bode well.

A major difference is that Missingno should get the clutch, so if its close Tidus loses.

Also I don't think Tidus is as strong overnight as Alucard - I might be wrong there though. Anyone know about that?

Really hope Tidus wins somehow though, these inanimate characters were fun at first but have long overstayed their welcome IMO.
