LeonhartFour posted... Karma Hunter posted...I could see Tidus being fueled by early anti-joke votes, too, and not benefiting as much as he should from the Power Hour ending. That's a bit of a stretch, but I could see it happening. Oh, for the super early, yeah. I'm talking more like Yoshi's early start against Missingno, where he couldn't keep up his pace and eventually got drowned as the match went on. --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
Kefka
was definitely the biggest shock of the Contest so far. At least for
me. I always had him in 3rd place. I switched from Ryu to Zack at the
end. Never considered Kefka for 1st once. --- The Great GameFAQs Character Battle IX contest: 60/68 pts NP: Missingno > Tidus > Banjo |
It's possible, but FFX has one of the best night votes around and Pokemon doesn't. --- http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/7760/222bj.jpg |
200 vote lead breached, barely. --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |
I got a feeling Tidus will have the lead when I wake up. --- https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BMcwhStCYAAr-mC.jpg Dallas Cowboys and Mavs |
WarThaNemesis2 posted... For what it's worth, Red's lead peaked at 666, so given this match has about 40% the votals when you factor in Banjo votes, if Missingno hits 266 it'll be about the equivalent max lead. I don't think it really works that way. Falcon peaked at 500 and Alucard still tore his lead apart. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
Missingno can't pick a side on being over/under 43% --- Leafs / Raptors / Blue Jays / TFC / Argos / Tottenham We'll get 'em next year. |
It
should also be noted that Red was building his lead over Ocelot for the
first 2 hours, so if Missingno keeps adding ~10-15 votes until that
time, it'll probably be well out of Tidus's reach barring shenanigans. --- http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh293/zukiraphaera/war-sig-1.png RIP Paul Bearer. Ohhhh nooooo. :( |
So was Falcon! Alucard didn't start seriously cutting until after 4 AM. He still won. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
lightsout06 posted... I got a feeling Tidus will have the lead when I wake up. If only. --- Still smilin' :> |
I think it'll be one of those, close yet not threatening matches. --- BOP Results: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/CB9%20BOP.xls Points: 55/68 Today's Picks: Missingno and Wario |
Not having a "real" morning vote yet with no school in session is kinda hurting day oriented characters so far. --- Guess who I am! http://gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs3/1345748_o.gif |
Missingno keeps pulling away, though granted it's not very quickly. I'd be amazed if Tidus pulls this back. --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. -CJayC |
Damn it, Tidus, you can't showboat and try to make your opponent look bad until you're in the lead, you stupid blitzer --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
KamikazePotato posted... So was Falcon! Alucard didn't start seriously cutting until after 4 AM. He still won. and that was also a really suspicious match! |
Not
sure what's so surprising about this result. Joke characters always do
well the first time through and drop off afterwards. Did people really
thing Missigno was beating Squall next round? --- Game of the decade? More like Guru of the decade mirite? However, the Guru of the next decade so far is SuperNiceDog |
I guess every match with a comeback is suspicious now? --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

I have no idea why Missingno's strength would be better next round. "aw yeah, he beat Tidus, all aboard the BANDWAGON" doot doot doot --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
Karma Hunter posted... I have no idea why Missingno's strength would be better next round. "aw yeah, he beat Tidus, all aboard the BANDWAGON" doot doot doot I think people are expecting Missingno to retain his "fluctuating" strength from last time. Which as a Squall fan, I'm still paranoid about even if Missingno barely pulls this out. --- http://www.miscupload.com/upload/452457071929141623517416.gif |
Missingno
has a shot against Squall next round (assuming he gets past Tidus)
because it's Missingno and the thing hasn't had a single match that made
sense yet and I don't see why that would change by adding a storm and
the sun. --- http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh293/zukiraphaera/war-sig-1.png RIP Paul Bearer. Ohhhh nooooo. :( |

Randomly
fluctuating strength like that isn't really... legitimate. I can
understand why people would want to believe otherwise, but something was
fraudulent in either Crono's, Yoshi's, or Sephiroth's matches. Possibly
all three. --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
To
be fair to MissingNo., he didn't defeat Yoshi by much more than what he
defeated Crono with. Unless we're speculating Crono and Yoshi have
similar strength (heh), then MissingNo.'s strength is all over the
place. I think the main thing against the guy as opposed to last time
isn't whether he's funny or not, but whether he will be anti-voted
enough. Clearly he was quite anti-voted against Yoshi, and I see little
reason to see that stop anytime soon. --- .-#Elements of Water#-. |

Possibly all three. yup, Sephiroth's match was fraudulent damn FF7 fanboys stuffing *tinfoil hat* |
What
I'm seeing right now is that Squall and Missingno will be really close,
especially with it being a night match. And so, Ammy might just make
all the difference. I think she's strong enough to not just roll over
and actually drag someone down a bit, but who? --- Hey, its that SuperNiceDog! Congrats to the Guru 2011 winner |
there we go, glitchy. --- Leafs / Raptors / Blue Jays / TFC / Argos / Tottenham We'll get 'em next year. |
Welp,
there's the Tidus collapse update. Prepare for the overreaction (and
then the overreaction when Tidus recovers next update). --- http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh293/zukiraphaera/war-sig-1.png RIP Paul Bearer. Ohhhh nooooo. :( |
Ow.
That might be an aberration as we head out of the Power Hour but yeah,
I'm getting shades of Missingno/Yoshi here. Tidus might get drowned even
during the night just because he can't keep up the Missingno antivotes. --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
Ammy
is Squall's greatest ally against Missingo. It will probably be a
repeat of the Yoshi match where Mizno won't be able get enough joke
support because of Ammy's legit likeability/Dog Factor. Squall could end
up killing mizno there and make Ammy look really good in the process. |
A dog could kill the L-shaped joke thing Looks like we were five years too early --- Guess who I am! http://gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs3/1345748_o.gif |
Always bet on The Dog Factor --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
Ammy>Squall>Missingno. I believe. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
Ammy
is probably going to end up being neutral. She'll eat anti-Missingno
votes and anti-Squall votes. I'd guess the biggest impact she could have
either way would be if Missingno really is going to just pull his 40%
every match, in which case if she breaks 20% (spoilers: she will)
Squall's done, but we won't have any idea about that until the match is
over. But at that point it becomes 'ok so anything of popularity that
isn't Nintendo or Square is neutral' so who cares. --- http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh293/zukiraphaera/war-sig-1.png RIP Paul Bearer. Ohhhh nooooo. :( |
Over 300 votes now right as we're getting ready to exit the Power Hour. --- http://gifsoup.com/view/874243/big-boss-o.gif |

Yeah
if Tidus starts working in some cuts I'll give him the benefit of the

comes up short. --- www.dudewheresmyfreedom.com Proud to share the same beliefs as SmartMuffin |
