Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. I estimate there were an additional 400 votes from the Cirno rallies that were not removed, probably because Bacon considered those votes to be legitimate. It's kinda weird to me that so many people are going for the Touhou. JC Denton could get 2nd there, and he's no Jensen. Yeah but considering Tifa and Chun-Li's percentages and vote totals, it still looks like those 400 "rallied" votes were stuffed. No rally should result in 100% of the votes going to someone - especially against well known characters like Tifa and Chun-Li. Yet those 400 votes seem to only be for Cirno. I do think SB will go over results much more thoroughly if it actually changes who gets 2nd place, though. JC Denton looked just as bad as Cirno did even before stuffing. I doubt he'd take 2nd here. Jensen has to be stronger than Denton(and I would assume he is so no problem there) --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

I dunno, I mean he's quite bad but even as weak as Rayman is, he should still crush the likes of Jensen/Marisa and Chester/Zero999. People have at least heard of Rayman via "game name factor", which I think separates terrible turbofodder from normal turbofodder/low end fodder. Jensen's
best hope to get second place is to use the night vote here. Denton
had a good night vote in his match, so I'd expect Jensen to have a good

I'm surprised more people aren't feeling as confident with Marisa given
the past matches in this contest so far. Newer characters have been
getting eviscerated so far. I feel Jensen would be no different,
especially given that the new Deus Ex didn't even make much of a splash
here. In fact, the series as a whole has done terrible here on GameFAQs,
which is saying something given the site's demographics. Remember that
Deus Ex barely edged out Rock Band in the GotD. --- Drop it to the floor... |

honestly have no idea why people are comparing Deus Ex 1 to Human
Revolution. The two are going to be so different on GameFAQs that there
