I'm not saying Tifa doesn't easily have the potential to beat someone
like Crono or Sonic! But this match shouldn't be held up as proof of

Yeah,
I have no doubt that Jensen beats Marisa with no interference. I was
kind of hoping Cirno would come out here with a rally and look decent
like Reimu did because that would be good enough to take 2nd I think,

Reimu and Marisa are the main characters; Cirno's a fan favorite, enough that she actually got a gaiden game where she was the lone playable character, but still ultimately a side character who is completely absent from at least half the games in the series. --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. Dragonborn's
only shot at coming in anywhere but last was for Yuna>MC and then
Tifa SFFs Tuna to dust. And for Dragonborn to come in at the highest end

Vincent goes out and matches Ganondorf's performance on Mewtwo, I'll
blame Vincent's round 1 performance on KOS-MOS being stronger than her

Despite everything I've said though I am going to be so sad
if this ends up exceeding Sephiroth/Midna or (please no) Cloud/Prinny
levels of destruction. Just because the overperformance can be seen

don't think Drake is that bad, let's give the dude some credit. He
actually did quite respectably against Boss, and that 2010 match looks
even better now that we've seen Boss go out and dominate. Uncharted 2
did pretty well for itself in Game of the Decade, and Pac-Man, a
character who is made to beat guys like Drake, couldn't get the job
done. Chun-Li might beat him, but I think his performances have at least
warranted some debate in matches like that. Really doubt she's cleaning
his clock. Also, he should be stronger now than in 2010. Uncharted 3 wasn't as well received as 2, but it was hyped with commercials and promotions galore. I actually want to see it since I've put all my chips on Pokemon this contest. Well, all except for Nathan f***ing Drake. Of all the people, I'm trusting HIM to be the one guy to beat Pokemon. not really thinking Mewtwo's performance in round 1 means much - I
think that if other contests are any indication, he might fold like a
bad poker player once real competition comes knocking. BUT... if he

And I'd take the over on 53 for sure, Chun Li has Pac-Man's universal recognizability (on GameFAQs, at least) with added bonus that people actually care about her. That's not a knock on Drake. Chun Li is not weak. It's her facing Bowser in the year that Ryu bombed like crazy and the lol female bracket that get people thinking that - and now, this match. That's a lot of bad luck, to be sure, which engenders skepticism - but as a thought exercise, imagine what you'd expect Ryu to get on Bowser today and adjust Chun Li's stock up proportionally. if the Street Fighter tiers of Ryu >> Ken > Chun are to be
believed, she's a step below the likes of Ken and Wesker, and I don't
see why Drake can't hang with the likes of those guys. Boss is probably

I'd be pleased as ever-loving punch if Boss could hang with the likes of Ken and post-RE5 Wesker. Actually, assuming a constant Boss, using Tifa/The Boss and Luigi/Cube + Cube/Boss roughly means that Tifa would score 61% on Luigi. I think it's fairly obvious Tifa overperformed on Boss.
