I'm
not sure what that has to do with being irrelevant since 2008? That was
his last game, that was the last big MGS game, up until MGS5 was
announced. That's a good five years off most people's radar. Again, that
doesn't necessarily mean much for GameFAQs, because we're seeing
characters much older do better than they ave, but if they argument is
relevancy, Snake hasn't been it in a while. More specifically, Snake or MGS isn't more relevant than Link or Zelda. I think people are kind of looking for anything, or any reason, they can to come up with the result that puts Snake over Link. Link's probably finally suffering anti-votes and a greater amount of people realizing he does, in fact, win all the time! Snake might look better right up until a match with Link, but I'd be surprised if he could actually seal the deal. When it matters, Link tends to get it done. --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |

I'm still highly doubtful, but Link's never actually beaten someone who's looked better than him in a contest run (2003, 2007). All the other years he's flat-out just looked better - he'd have lost to Cloud in 2010 if FF7 hadn't fallen off a cliff, too! If next round Snake can't come close to Link's percentage on Alucard last contest, sure, call it a pipe dream. At least Link has gotten new games since then and even Cloud has gotten both Dissidias.
