Replies are a decent gauge of how a rally is going, but they're not definitive. A lot of votes are going to be from people that just click on the GameFAQs link and vote without making any comment at all.

Yeah I know, but it never helps to be at the top of the page. More replies means more eyes are going to see it.

Link plz

go to the catalog and ctrl+f "catherine". not hard to find and probably not a good idea to link to 4chan here.

Definitely not a good plan.

Catherine stopped stalling pretty much the moment that thread went up, it's about the third today so can pretty much count on more if she needs them. It's a popular game on /v/ so wouldn't be hard to convince people. She'll probably start dropping again when she has a lead and it'll repeat until the end but no chance they'll let her lose.

Match is over, it was good.

Eh I've got Neku but I don't feel bad if he loses. Catherine would probably be winning more comfortably if she had some TJF than any rally could provide. This is just an equalizer of sorts <_<

though I just can't get my upset picks to connect in these close matches, haha man darn you Falcon and Pac-Man

Rally or not, Catherine and Neku was going to be close either way. Neku may have narrowly won(hell he still might), people knew going in(or at least getting close to match time) that it was probably going to be a crapshoot.

Unless you pick Vaas.

They have more influence because the vote totals have declined so precipitously. We'd barely even notice them doing stuff if we still had the potential of pulling down day matches with 85k votes.

Probably low votals and the nature of multi-ways, a group of a few hundred can do a lot of damage now that they probably couldn't before. The rallies on /v/ aren't even organised they're just guys randomly saying "hey vote for x".

they got missile 2nd, made reimu's start look very weird as well out of what I noticed.
Reddit played a big part in Draven's business and they came very close to being successful with Tiny Tina as well.

It's a big enough influence.

Any site would be able to alter the poll's result if a match is this close, vote totals don't matter too much a 50/50 match with 10k votes will have the same lead as a 50/50 match with 100k votes.

Missile is the one I would say was entirely on the back of 4chan, they had threads on /v/ and /b/ at the same time with hundreds of posts in each. Kerrigan was winning every hour they weren't rallying, Missile took 650 votes over her in just 2 hours. It was as blatant as they come.

Convincing argument you have there.

I'm looking at the trend charts and I see Missile shooting out the gate with a 700-vote lead, part of it on the backs of 4-chan. Then I see Kerrigan slowly wittle away at the lead for the remainder of the match, though her cuts are not nearly enough to come back.

Not to mention the massively inflated votals in the early part of the poll when Missile was doing all the damage. Or how Crono was being dragged 4% below his finishing percentage for no real reason during those hours.

Fair enough, you actually bothered to provide evidence earlier. I just remembered the pic you posted earlier on in the topic of that 4chan thread that had hundreds of replies.

All right, it's possible Missile did win because of 4chan. If Kerrigan did win, I think she would have won by a fairly narrow margin anyway.
