All I keep thinking is that Crono beat Zidane worse than Cloud beat Ridley and where on Earth does CT/FF9 SFF come from.

2k5 match that is before Crono's decline and before Dissidia.

Granted. But Crono was never anywhere near as strong as Cloud. You need the anti-votes/Cloud drop/Dissidia boost to make up a ton of ground there.

Ridley jumped from 16.01 to 27.45 due to that Cloud performance. We were never going to be sure if that was legit or not until after this match.

Way too early to call this for Zidane, even if winning consistently in the first updates is a pretty decent sign. Both are just tearing up SBD's percentage right now.

Neither did I (formally, anyway, though we've obviously internalized certain aspects of it so that's not 100% true)... but the rest of the board did! Also, Ridley put up about the same number as Captain Falcon on Cloud, so this more or less suggests Zidane could beat Alucard... which I don't think anyone outside of the most fanboyish bracketers would take.
