We could PROBABLY push Ralph because the game was a big deal in the movie, but I think the games would have to be one of the primary focuses. Like, for Digimon, the entire thing was planned to be a multi-media juggernaut specifically about digital pets and games, so the anime/games were developed with each other in mind, which is an argument we can present to Bacon. Pokemon that need to be removed from Zen's list: -Eevee. People like the Eeveelutions, yeah. I'd guess Jolteon for our strongest if I had to pick one. Do they like Eevee? I really don't think so. You get Eevee and then evolve it ASAP unless you don't know what you're doing. -Garchomp. It'd probably be good for a Gen 4 pokemon, but that's a pretty low bar, and the Dragonite of Gen 4 is not even worth considering when Dragonite itself probably shouldn't even be a high priority. -Poliwhirl. Random RBY pokemon nobody cares about. Probably not even in the top 50% of RBY pokemon. -Psyduck. Is RBYing and was amusing in the anime when he showed up but not a main character or anything. Not enough. -Salamence. It might be good for a Gen 3 pokemon, but that's a fairly low bar, and the Dragonite of Gen 3 is not even worth considering when Dragonite itself probably shouldn't even be a high priority. -Scyther. Gen 1 and looks cool is all it has. -Umbreon. If we go for the Eeveelutions (And I don't think we should), we go for the RBY ones. This is obvious. You can remove more Pokemon if you want I didn't choose who was on the list, and I really don't care! I hate how big and chunky that section looks compared to the rest anyway! We should be focusing our efforts on a few Pokemon and we should take a poll to see which eeveelution would do best before committing to one --- ~Zen |

it's about those birds, then Zapdos probably ranks at the top amongst
them. He's the most popular amongst the game players going by tier
usage. And although he took a while to appear in the anime, he still had

tbqh, the Pokemon are possibly
unique in that any number of the most nostalgic ones can probably
harness the collective strength of the fanbase and display significant
variance between rounds. I kind of doubt we'd see anything resembling
stable and consistent strength rankings among, say... Squirtle, Mewtwo,
Snorlax, Gyarados, Pikachu, and Articuno. They can probably all do

Come
to think of it, remove Togepi too. It's not RBY, and while it was in
the anime all the time, the thing was a baby and it acted like it.
Jigglypuff probably destroys it easily. And even if you were extremely
optimistic about its strength, there would still be no reason to even
consider the thing before seeing Misty. Suicune > Entei. Cover of Crystal > Being in a movie, even if Entei was voiced by DAN GREEN. Don't really think we should add Suicune either but at least it has something important. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |
Wait and see how Blue/Red do, because I think Oak could be a very legit entrant. In terms of random Pokemon, I think Gyarados/Gengar/Arcanine/Snorlax/Jolteon/Alakazam/Nidoking would probably be the strongest new Gen 1s other than Blastoise. Generally I think Pokemon that were perceived as strong/cool party members from RBY have the most potential. I'd put money on Gyarados personally. They'd all at least be stronger than Jiggs and around Lugia level I think. |

Gengar. Seriously badass ghost pokemon. But like others have said you could pick 50 RBY pokemon that would be stronger than the most of the obscure RPG characters that get in every year. I think the weakest gen 1 pokemon would be Tentacool. I think everyone hates Tentacool. The Zubat of the ocean without the humor. Seeing that in a contest would be interesting just to see how bad a gen 1 pokemon can be. |

Eh there's a few contenders for weakest pokemon then I guess. Tentacool, Paras, Goldeen, Seel, Venonat Omanyte.... Wait Omanyte surely has to be the weakest. Did anyone even get him? Why on earth would you get Omanyte when you could have Kabuto or Aerodactyl Damn I want to see a pokemon contest now. |

Also, Chrono Trigger was never released in Europe either until remakes. Europe seriously got the shaft release wise in the 90's. It wasn't really until the mid 00's that they started getting the majority of the NA releases and even then they were generally released a lot later than the NA version. --- Crucifying my Oracle average one match at a time |

Farfetch'd
has a cool design with the leek sword so it isn't going to be last even
if it sucks statwise. It's one of the Pokemon you see people call for
